THROUGHOUT ETERNITY AND TIME, GOD HAS ALWAYS SAID THE EXACT SAME THING CONCERNING SIN, EVERY SINGLE TIME GOD SPOKE ABOUT SIN!
God has always said that when YOU commit sin, "YOU will surely die."
Genesis 2:16-17 (NIV) And the Lord God commanded the man, "You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it YOU will surely die."
THROUGHOUT ETERNITY AND TIME, GOD HAS ALWAYS RESPONDED IN THE EXACT SAME WAY, EVERY SINGLE TIME, WHENEVER A CREATURE COMMITTED SIN!
Ezekiel 28:11-18 printed below is a lament concerning the King of Tyre. Ezekiel 28:11-19 is not a depiction of the life of any literal, historic, human King of Tyre; as the portrayal does not describe, and the events could not have happened to any literal, historic, human King of Tyre. Ezekiel 28:11-18 is a metaphoric picture of the creation, anointing, initial blameless life, subsequent sin, and consequential expulsion of the devil from Heaven.
Ezekiel 28:11-18 (NIV) The word of the LORD came to me: 12 "Son of man, take up a lament concerning the king of Tyre and say to him: 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: "'You were the model of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. 13 You were in Eden, the garden of God; every precious stone adorned you: ruby, topaz and emerald, chrysolite, onyx and jasper, sapphire, turquoise and beryl. Your settings and mountings were made of gold; on the day you were created they were prepared. 14 You were anointed as a guardian cherub, for so I ordained you. You were on the holy mount of God; you walked among the fiery stones. 15 You were blameless in your ways from the day you were created till wickedness was found in you. 16 Through your widespread trade you were filled with violence, and you sinned. So I drove you in disgrace from the mount of God, and I expelled you, O guardian cherub, from among the fiery stones. 17 Your heart became proud on account of your beauty, and you corrupted your wisdom because of your splendor. So I threw you to the earth; I made a spectacle of you before kings. 18 By your many sins and dishonest trade you have desecrated your sanctuaries. So I made a fire come out from you, and it consumed you, and I reduced you to ashes on the ground in the sight of all who were watching.
No literal, historic, human King of Tyre was ever, "the model of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty." Nor was any literal, historic, human King of Tyre ever, "in Eden, the garden of God." Nor was any literal, historic, human King of Tyre ever adorned with, "every precious stone." Nor was any literal, historic, human King of Tyre ever, "anointed as a guardian cherub." Nor was any literal, historic, human King of Tyre ever, "on the holy mount of God." Nor was any literal, historic, human King of Tyre ever in Heaven, where he could, "walk among the fiery stones." Because no literal, historic, human King of Tyre was ever in Heaven; no literal, historic, human King of Tyre was ever driven in "disgrace" from the mount of God, or expelled from among the fiery stones, or thrown to the earth. Ezekiel 28:11-18 printed above is not a literal picture of any single historic, human King of Tyre. Ezekiel 28:11-18 is a very clear metaphoric picture of the literal creation, subsequent sin, and historic expulsion of the devil from Heaven. Satan and one third of the angels were cast from Heaven onto the earth.
In Ezekiel 28:14 printed above, prior to Satan committing sin, Heaven is referenced as, "the holy mount of God". At the time that Satan was created, Heaven was, "the holy mount of God". In Ezekiel 28:16 printed above, after Satan committed sin, Heaven is referenced only as "the mount of God". Because Satan had introduced sin into Heaven, Heaven was no longer, "the holy mount of God". After Satan committed sin in Heaven, Heaven was only "the mount of God". After Satan committed sin in Heaven, Heaven was no longer "holy". Which is why at the end of the Seven Thousand Years of Measured Time, God will create a new Heaven, and a new earth, that has never had sin in them, and will never have sin in them. (Revelation chapters 21-22)
SIN WILL EFFECT GOD REPLACING HEAVEN, AND EARTH!
Habakkuk 1:13a (NIV) Your eyes are too pure to look on evil; you cannot tolerate wrong.
"Grace" is the unmerited favor of God. "Disgrace" is the merited disfavor of God.
God did not create sin, as when Satan was created, Satan was, "the model of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty" - Ezekiel 28:12 NIV printed above. God created Satan with no sin, no bent to sin, and with nothing that compelled or forced Satan to commit sin. Satan was created with a free-will that enabled Satan to choose to serve God, or to choose to commit sin. Proof that Satan was created with a free-will is in the fact that Satan was created, "the model of perfection," but Satan exercised Satan's free-will and chose to sin. Because Satan was created, "the model of perfection," Satan could only have sinned if Satan had a free-will that permitted Satan to choose to sin. Philosophically, if YOU do not have a free-will to choose to sin, then YOU also do not have a free-will to choose to serve God. After God created the devil, "the model of perfection," the devil sinned in his spirit, after which the devil's actions reflected the devil's sin against God. When the devil sinned in his spirit, the devil twisted himself into an evil creature, from which every action thereafter would be sinful. When the devil sinned, one-third of the angels in Heaven joined with the devil in sin against God.
As referenced in Ezekiel 28:11-18 printed above, because of the devil's sin, God drove the devil in "disgrace" out of Heaven. God responded in the exact same way, to the sin of every single one of the devil's angels, as God had responded to the sin of the devil. God drove every single one of the angels who had joined with the devil in sin against God, out of Heaven.
Revelation 12:7-10 (NIV) And there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. The great dragon was hurled down--that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him. Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: "Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ. For the accuser of our brothers, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down.
The "enormous red dragon" whose "tail swept a third of the stars out of the sky and flung them to the earth" depicted in Revelation 12:3-4a printed below, is a reference to the devil; and the devil's influence effecting one-third of the angels to join with the devil in sin, and consequently to also be hurled to the earth with the devil. These same sinful angels were referred to as "demons" in Luke 10:17-18, printed below.
Revelation 12:3-4a (NIV) Then another sign appeared in heaven: an enormous red dragon with seven heads and ten horns and seven crowns on his heads. His tail swept a third of the stars out of the sky and flung them to the earth.
Luke 10:17-18 (NIV) The seventy-two returned with joy and said, "Lord, even the demons submit to us in your name." He replied, "I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven."
While the Holy Word of God states that Satan was created, "the model of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty"; Jesus Christ, who is the Holy Word of God, stated that by the beginning of the Seven Thousand Years of Measured Time, the devil was already a murderer, and a liar:
John 8:44 (NIV) "You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies."
Adam, the first man, was created with eternal life. God created Adam as a perfect man, with no sin, no bent to sin, and with nothing that compelled or forced Adam to commit sin. Adam was created with a free-will that enabled Adam to choose to serve God, or to choose to commit sin. Proof that Adam was created with a free-will is in the fact that God gave Adam a commandment dictating what Adam could choose to do that was within God's law, and what Adam could choose to do that was not within God's law. God also told Adam what the penalty would be if Adam chose to violate God's law and commit sin. God told Adam that if Adam exercised Adam's free-will and chose to commit sin, Adam would lose Adam's life:
Genesis 2:16,17 (NIV) And the Lord God commanded the man, "You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it YOU will surely die."
The devil lied by adding ONE WORD to what God had said.
Genesis 3:1-7 (NIV) Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, "Did God really say, 'You must not eat from any tree in the garden'?" 2 The woman said to the serpent, "We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, 3 but God did say, 'You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.'" 4 "YOU will not surely die," the serpent said to the woman. 5 "For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil." 6 When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. 7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.
The devil has spoken that exact same lie from the beginning of the Seven Thousand Years of Measured Time until now. The devil has said "When YOU sin, "YOU will not surely die,"
The devil knows that what the devil is saying is a lie. The devil knows that the devil is lying about sin, because of the devil's own personal experience. Satan was created in Heaven with no sin, no bent to sin, and with nothing that compelled or forced Satan to commit sin; but was driven in "disgrace" out of Heaven because of the devil's sin.
Like Satan, Adam sinned in his spirit, after which, Adam's actions reflected Adam's sin against God. Did Adam physically die the day he ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil? The answer is no. Adam lived 830 years totally, and begat sons and daughters after being banished from the Garden of Eden. The very moment that Adam sinned against God, Adam died a spiritual death. When Adam sinned against God, Adam committed spiritual suicide. To commit sin is spiritual suicide. Adam could no more commit A singular sin, and then spiritually restore himself, than YOU can commit A singular suicide, and then physically restore YOURSELF. Once Adam sinned in his spirit, Adam's spiritual state of being was altered. When Adam sinned in his spirit, like Satan, Adam twisted himself into a sinful creature, from which every action thereafter would be tainted with sin. If every one of Adam's actions thereafter would be tainted with sin, then every one of Adam's actions thereafter would be sinful. Adam had twisted himself into an evil creature, from which every action thereafter would be sinful.
As the devil was driven in "disgrace" out of Heaven, where Satan had walked and talked with God, after the devil sinned; so Adam was driven in "disgrace" out of the Garden of Eden, where Adam had walked and talked with God, after Adam sinned.
Genesis 3:23-24 (NIV) So the Lord God banished him from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he had been taken. After he drove the man out, he placed on the east side of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life.
Proverbs 14:34 (NIV) Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people.
God is a Trinity consisting of Soul, Body, and Spirit. Adam was originally created in God's image. Adam is a soul, who lived in a body, and has a spirit. The fact that humans are a trinity is clearly revealed in the temptation of Eve. Eve was tempted body, soul, and spirit.
Genesis 3:6-7 (NIV) When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.
It is easier to see the trinity of Adam and Eve, and consequently the three-fold temptation, if YOU simultaneously look at the Trinity of Jesus Christ, and consequently the three-fold temptation of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ who was fully human, was tempted in the exact same three ways that Adam and Eve were tempted. Like Adam and Eve, if Jesus Christ had listened to the devil's lies, and thereby followed the devil into sin, Jesus Christ would have become a follower of the devil.
When Adam committed sin, Adam fundamentally changed himself, body, soul, and spirit. Adam's body was banished from the Garden of Eden where every physical need that Adam had, was provided for. Adam was forced thereafter to work his body by the sweat of his brow and the toil of his hands for his physical needs. Adam's body began decaying, and would ultimately cease to function, and die. Jesus Christ was tempted to satisfy the needs of Jesus Christ's body as directed by the devil.
Genesis 3:17-19 (NIV) To Adam he said, "Because you listened to your wife and ate from the tree about which I commanded you, 'You must not eat of it,' "Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat of it all the days of your life. It will produce thorns and thistles for you, and you will eat the plants of the field. By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will return."
Matthew 4:1-4 (NIV) Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the desert to be tempted by the devil. After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. The tempter came to him and said, "If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread." Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.'"
Adam's soul went from obedience to, and worship of God; to obedience to, and consequently worship of Adam. Jesus Christ was tempted in Jesus Christ's soul to worship things, and consequently to worship the devil, rather than to worship God.
Matthew 4:8-10 (NIV) Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. "All this I will give you," he said, "if you will bow down and worship me." Jesus said to him, "Away from me, Satan! For it is written: 'Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.'"
Adam's spirit was twisted from a desire for the approval of God, to the desire for the approval of man. Jesus Christ is fully God, and is worthy of worship, but Jesus Christ was also fully human. The temptation for Jesus Christ, was in Jesus Christ the human, falling to the spiritual sin of pride, in desiring people to worship Jesus Christ the human; and by becoming obedient to the devil, by proving to the devil that Jesus Christ is God.
Galatians 1:10 (NIV) Am I now trying to win the approval of men, or of God? Or am I trying to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ.
Matthew 4:5-7 (NIV) Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. "If you are the Son of God," he said, "throw yourself down. For it is written: " 'He will command his angels concerning you, and they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.'" Jesus answered him, "It is also written: 'Do not put the Lord your God to the test.'"
Like the angels who were influenced by the devil, and subsequently followed the devil into sin and became demons; when Adam decided in Adam's spirit that Adam would act upon the influence of the devil and commit sin, Adam subsequently became a follower and a spiritual descendant of the devil. Like Satan, and his angels, in sinning against God, Adam twisted himself into an evil creature, with the exact same sinful spirit as the devil.
The devil is the spiritual father of all of those people who murder, and the devil is the spiritual father of all of those people who lie:
John 8:44 (NIV) "You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies."
Every human is a physical descendant of Adam. BECAUSE OF THEIR PHYSICAL FATHER ADAM'S SIN, EVERY HUMAN IS BORN WITH THE SAME SINFUL SPIRIT AS THEIR SPIRITUAL FATHER, THE DEVIL!
ADAM'S SIN HAD A DEADLY IMPACT ON ME AND YOU!
All sinful people reveal by their actions that they have the same sinful spirit as their spiritual father, the devil.
1 John 3:12-13 (NIV) Do not be like Cain, who belonged to the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his own actions were evil and his brother's were righteous. 13 Do not be surprised, my brothers, if the world hates you.
John 10:10 (NIV) "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full."
John 8:44 (NIV) "You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies."
AS SPECIFIC ADDITIONAL PROOF OF THE FACT THAT EVERY HUMAN IS BORN WITH THE SAME SINFUL SPIRIT AS THEIR SPIRITUAL FATHER, THE DEVIL; EVERY HUMAN HAS SPOKEN THE "NATIVE LANGUAGE"-(John 8:44 printed above) OF THEIR SPIRITUAL FATHER, THE DEVIL. EVERY HUMAN HAS TOLD A LIE. YOU HAVE TOLD A LIE!
Psalm 58:3 (NIV) Even from birth the wicked go astray; from the womb they are wayward and speak lies.
YOU were speaking YOUR spiritual "native language" by telling lies, just as soon as YOU were able to speak YOUR physical "native language" and talk. Like the devil, man quickly gained a reputation as a liar.
Numbers 23:19a (NIV) God is not a man, that he should lie,
To tell a lie is an act of sin that will cause YOU to be sent to Hell with YOUR spiritual father, the devil.
Revelation 21:8 (NIV) But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars--their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death."
Prior to the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ, and the subsequent giving of the Holy Spirit of God on the Day of Pentecost, referenced in Acts 2:1-4; Simon Peter knew, and stated, that Jesus Christ is, "the Christ, the Son of the living God." Jesus Christ knew, that on the Day of Pentecost, at the giving of the Holy Spirit of God, Peter would become a spiritual child of God; but Jesus Christ illuminated the fact that prior to Peter being filled with the Holy Spirit of God, Peter was still a spiritual descendant of the devil, and Jesus Christ addressed Peter as such.
Matthew 16:13-23 (NIV) When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, "Who do people say the Son of Man is?" They replied, "Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets." "But what about you?" he asked. "Who do you say I am?" Simon Peter answered, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God." Jesus replied, "Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by man, but by my Father in heaven. And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven." Then he warned his disciples not to tell anyone that he was the Christ. From that time on Jesus began to explain to his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things at the hands of the elders, chief priests and teachers of the law, and that he must be killed and on the third day be raised to life. Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him. "Never, Lord!" he said. "This shall never happen to you!" Jesus turned and said to Peter, "Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the things of God, but the things of men."
The fact that before Simon Peter was filled with the Holy Spirit of God, Peter was still a spiritual descendant of the devil; explains why Peter spoke Peter's spiritual "native language", by lying about Peter's association with Jesus Christ, at the time that Jesus Christ was arrested.
Luke 22:31-34 (NIV) "Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers." But he replied, "Lord, I am ready to go with you to prison and to death." Jesus answered, "I tell you, Peter, before the rooster crows today, you will deny three times that you know me."
Luke 22:54-62 (NIV) Then seizing him, they led him away and took him into the house of the high priest. Peter followed at a distance. But when they had kindled a fire in the middle of the courtyard and had sat down together, Peter sat down with them. A servant girl saw him seated there in the firelight. She looked closely at him and said, "This man was with him." But he denied it. "Woman, I don't know him," he said. A little later someone else saw him and said, "You also are one of them." "Man, I am not!" Peter replied. About an hour later another asserted, "Certainly this fellow was with him, for he is a Galilean." Peter replied, "Man, I don't know what you're talking about!" Just as he was speaking, the rooster crowed. The Lord turned and looked straight at Peter. Then Peter remembered the word the Lord had spoken to him: "Before the rooster crows today, you will disown me three times." And he went outside and wept bitterly.
God testified that King David had a desire to do everything that God wanted King David to do.
Acts 13:22 (NIV) After removing Saul, he made David their king. He testified concerning him: 'I have found David son of Jesse a man after my own heart; he will do everything I want him to do.'
King David wanted to do what God wanted King David to do; but King David was spiritually crippled by the fact that King David lived prior to the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ, and the subsequent giving of the Holy Spirit of God on the Day of Pentecost. Consequently, King David had the same sinful spirit as the devil; evidenced in 2 Samuel 11:1-26 by the fact that King David lusted after, and then committed adultery with Bathsheba, Uriah the Hittite's wife. King David impregnated Bathsheba. King David then got Uriah drunk, in an attempt to get Uriah to sleep with Bathsheba, in order to deceive Uriah into thinking that Uriah had impregnated Bathsheba. When King David's treacherous plan did not work, King David murdered Uriah, and took Bathsheba as King David's wife. David consistently spoke David's spiritual "native language", when David lied to Achish, son of the Philistine King of Gath. David lied about whom David had been attacking, referenced in 1 Samuel 27:1-12.
King David's remarks in Psalm 14:3, and King Solomon's remarks in 1 Kings 8:46-47 and Ecclesiastes 7:20 printed below; are referenced by the Apostle Paul in Romans 3:10-18, and Romans 3:23 printed below, concerning the depraved sinful condition of the devil's spiritual descendants.
Psalm 14:3 (NIV) All have turned aside, they have together become corrupt; there is no one who does good, not even one.
1 Kings 8:46a,b (NIV) "When they sin against you--for there is no one who does not sin--
Ecclesiastes 7:20 (NIV) There is not a righteous man on earth who does what is right and never sins.
Romans 3:10-18 (NIV) As it is written: "There is no one righteous, not even one; there is no one who understands, no one who seeks God. All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one." "Their throats are open graves; their tongues practice deceit." "The poison of vipers is on their lips." "Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness." "Their feet are swift to shed blood; ruin and misery mark their ways, and the way of peace they do not know." "There is no fear of God before their eyes."
Romans 3:23 (NIV) for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
Because every physical descendant of Adam is born with the same sinful spirit as their spiritual father, the devil; God gave mankind the law, in order to prove to every physical descendant of Adam, that they have the same lawless spirit as their spiritual father, the devil. When YOU cannot comply with the law of God, even when YOU want to comply with the law of God, then YOU are forced to recognize, and YOU cannot refute the fact that YOU have the same lawless spirit as YOUR spiritual father, the devil.
Romans 3:20 (NIV) Therefore no one will be declared righteous in his sight by observing the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of sin.
Romans 5:12-19 (NIV) Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned-- 13 for before the law was given, sin was in the world. But sin is not taken into account when there is no law. 14 Nevertheless, death reigned from the time of Adam to the time of Moses, even over those who did not sin by breaking a command, as did Adam, who was a pattern of the one to come.
Romans 7:7-24 (NIV) What shall we say, then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! Indeed I would not have known what sin was except through the law. For I would not have known what coveting really was if the law had not said, "Do not covet." But sin, seizing the opportunity afforded by the commandment, produced in me every kind of covetous desire. For apart from law, sin is dead. Once I was alive apart from law; but when the commandment came, sin sprang to life and I died. I found that the very commandment that was intended to bring life actually brought death. For sin, seizing the opportunity afforded by the commandment, deceived me, and through the commandment put me to death. So then, the law is holy, and the commandment is holy, righteous and good. Did that which is good, then, become death to me? By no means! But in order that sin might be recognized as sin, it produced death in me through what was good, so that through the commandment sin might become utterly sinful. We know that the law is spiritual; but I am unspiritual, sold as a slave to sin. I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. For what I do is not the good I want to do; no, the evil I do not want to do--this I keep on doing. Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it. So I find this law at work: When I want to do good, evil is right there with me. For in my inner being I delight in God's law; but I see another law at work in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within my members. What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death?
In accordance with God's Perfect Justice System, every person who commits sin deserves to die. Because of YOUR sin, YOU deserve to die.
Romans 6:23a (NIV) For the wages of sin is death,
To briefly reiterate, Adam was created as a perfect man without sin; then Adam committed sin. Consequently, thereafter all of Adam's physical descendants are born with the same sinful spirit as the devil. All of Adam's physical descendants are born as spiritual descendants of the devil.
God knew before God ever created Adam, that Adam would sin, thereby effecting all of Adam's physical descendants to be born as spiritual descendants of the devil. God knew that Adam's sin would effect all of mankind to be spiritually doomed from the moment when they were individually conceived, by the fact that everyone of mankind is a physical descendant of Adam.
Therefore, before God ever created Adam, God established a Blood-Substitution-Sacrifice clause within God's Perfect Justice System.
2 Samuel 14:14 (NIV) Like water spilled on the ground, which cannot be recovered, so we must die. But God does not take away life; instead, he devises ways so that a banished person may not remain estranged from him.
In accordance with the Blood-Substitution-Sacrifice clause within God's Perfect Justice System, in order to be able to redeem YOU, a disgraced, spiritually doomed, spiritually dead, physical descendant of Adam, from the grasp of sin and death, balance God's Perfect Scales of Justice, and instate YOU in a relationship with God; a perfect man, who is spiritually alive because He has never sinned, was required to die as a Blood-Substitution-Sacrifice to compensate for Adam's sin and YOUR sin.
Leviticus 17:11 (NIV) For the life of a creature is in the blood, and I have given it to you to make atonement for yourselves on the altar; it is the blood that makes atonement for one's life.
Hebrews 9:22 (NIV) In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.
No physical descendant of Adam is born as a perfect man, without sin. Consequently, no physical descendant of Adam, who is a spiritual descendant of the devil, with the same spiritually dead sinful spirit as the devil, can live without sin. Therefore, no physical descendant of Adam could meet the requirements of the Blood-Substitution-Sacrifice clause within God's Perfect Justice System; which required a perfect man without sin, to sacrificially die as atonement for man's sin, thereby balancing God's scales of justice, and effecting the redemption of man.
Therefore, before the creation of the world, God predestined to use the Blood-Substitution-Sacrifice clause within God's Perfect Justice System, and restore fallen man back to God through the Blood-Substitution-Sacrifice of Himself.
Ephesians 1:3-12 (NIV) Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will-- to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace that he lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding. And he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times will have reached their fulfillment--to bring all things in heaven and on earth together under one head, even Christ. In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will, in order that we, who were the first to hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory.
1 Peter 1:18-20 (NIV) For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your forefathers, 19 but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. 20 He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake.
Revelation 13:8 (NIV) All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast--all whose names have not been written in the book of life belonging to the Lamb that was slain from the creation of the world.
Acts 2:23 (NIV) This man was handed over to you by God's set purpose and foreknowledge; and you, with the help of wicked men, put him to death by nailing him to the cross.
Matthew 25:34 (NIV) "Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world."
God's Perfect Justice Plan required the spiritually alive, sinless, Lord God Himself to come to earth, live a sinless life, and die as a Blood-Substitution-Sacrifice for Adam's sin and YOUR sin, allowing YOU to be spiritually reborn, and instated in a relationship with God.
Isaiah 7:14 (NIV) Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.
Luke 1:26-38 (NIV) In the sixth month, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin's name was Mary. The angel went to her and said, "Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you." Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. But the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with God. You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever; his kingdom will never end." "How will this be," Mary asked the angel, "since I am a virgin?" The angel answered, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God. Even Elizabeth your relative is going to have a child in her old age, and she who was said to be barren is in her sixth month. For nothing is impossible with God." "I am the Lord's servant," Mary answered. "May it be to me as you have said." Then the angel left her.
The fact that Mary granted permission, is proof that the Holy Spirit of God was asking permission. After gaining Mary's permission, the angel Gabriel left Mary.
Luke 1:38a,b (NIV) "I am the Lord's servant," Mary answered. "May it be to me as you have said." Then the angel left her.
NOTE: The angel Gabriel who treated Mary with such complete and total respect is a direct contrast to the angel who claimed to be Gabriel that dictated the Quran to Mohammed. The angel who claimed to be Gabriel and dictated the Quran to Mohammed established law, mores, and folkways which, at best, denigrate Muslim women to a subhuman outcaste class; quite often, Muslim women are sadistically subjugated to a genitally mutilated existence as chattel, while being despised like criminals. The angel who dictated the Quran to Mohammed was not Gabriel, the deceiving angel who dictated the Quran to Mohammed was Satan, also known as Lucifer, also known as Allah. Allah loathes a woman's womb because that is the sanctuary where human life begins. Allah hates life (John 10:10). Allah loves death. Allah IS NOT Akbar, Allah is the depraved sadistic father of death.
God also sent an angel of the Lord to simply advise Joseph, the virgin Mary's espoused husband, that the Holy Spirit of God had placed the Seed of God into the virgin Mary. The angel did not ask permission of Joseph, because the decision to birth Jesus Christ was not Joseph's decision to make, that decision was Mary's decision to make. Mary and Joseph were obviously not Muslim.
Matthew 1:18-25 (NIV) This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit. Because Joseph her husband was a righteous man and did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly. But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, "Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins." All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: "The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel"--which means, "God with us." When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife. But he had no union with her until she gave birth to a son. And he gave him the name Jesus.
In accordance with God's predestined plan, at the perfect time, the Holy Spirit of God impregnated the virgin Mary, and produced an offspring who is not a physical descendant of Adam, and is therefore not a spiritual descendant of the devil. The Holy Spirit of God fathered a perfect man who is without sin. That perfect man lived a perfect life in order to meet the requirements of God's Perfect Justice System, and died as a Blood-Substitution-Sacrifice for Adam's sin and YOUR sin, thereby balancing God's scales of justice, creating an avenue for YOU to be released from the grasp of sin and death, and allowing YOU to be reinstated in a relationship with God. Jesus Christ is the Lord God, and did that.
Isaiah 25:7-8 (NIV) On this mountain he will destroy the shroud that enfolds all peoples, the sheet that covers all nations; he will swallow up death forever. The Sovereign Lord will wipe away the tears from all faces; he will remove the disgrace of his people from all the earth.
Hebrews 13:12-13 (NIV) And so Jesus also suffered outside the city gate to make the people holy through his own blood. Let us, then, go to him outside the camp, bearing the disgrace he bore.
Luke 19:10 (NIV) "For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost."
Romans 3:22-26 (NIV) This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. 25 God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement, through faith in his blood. He did this to demonstrate his justice, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished-- 26 he did it to demonstrate his justice at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.
Romans 4:25-5:1 (NIV) He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification. 5:1 Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
Romans 5:8-19 (NIV) But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God's wrath through him! 10 For if, when we were God's enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! 11 Not only is this so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation. 12 Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned-- 13 for before the law was given, sin was in the world. But sin is not taken into account when there is no law. 14 Nevertheless, death reigned from the time of Adam to the time of Moses, even over those who did not sin by breaking a command, as did Adam, who was a pattern of the one to come. 15 But the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of the one man, how much more did God's grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many! 16 Again, the gift of God is not like the result of the one man's sin: The judgment followed one sin and brought condemnation, but the gift followed many trespasses and brought justification. 17 For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God's abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ. 18 Consequently, just as the result of one trespass was condemnation for all men, so also the result of one act of righteousness was justification that brings life for all men. 19 For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous.
Romans 8:3 (NIV) For what the law was powerless to do in that it was weakened by the sinful nature, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful man to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in sinful man,
1 Corinthians 5:7 (NIV) Get rid of the old yeast that you may be a new batch without yeast--as you really are. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed.
1 Corinthians 15:2-4 (NIV) By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. 3 For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance : that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,
1 Corinthians 15:21-22 (NIV) For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. 22 For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.
2 Corinthians 5:18-19 (NIV) All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.
Galatians 1:3-4 (NIV) Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, 4 who gave himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father,
Philippians 2:5-11 (NIV) Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: 6 Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, 7 but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death-- even death on a cross! 9 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Colossians 1:19-22 (NIV) For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, 20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross. 21 Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behavior. 22 But now he has reconciled you by Christ's physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation--
1 Timothy 2:5-6 (NIV) For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave himself as a ransom for all men--the testimony given in its proper time.
Titus 2:11-14 (NIV) For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. 12 It teaches us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, 13 while we wait for the blessed hope--the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, 14 who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.
Hebrews 7:25 (NIV) Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.
Hebrews 9:26-28 (NIV) Then Christ would have had to suffer many times since the creation of the world. But now he has appeared once for all at the end of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of himself. 27 Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, 28 so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.
Hebrews 10:10 (NIV) And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
1 Peter 2:24 (NIV) He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed.
1 Peter 3:18 (NIV) For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive by the Spirit,
1 John 2:2 (NIV) He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.
1 John 3:5 (NIV) But you know that he appeared so that he might take away our sins. And in him is no sin.
1 John 4:10 (NIV) This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.
If Jesus Christ was not conceived by the Holy Spirit of God, as the Holy Word of God states, then Jesus Christ would simply be another spiritually dead, sinful descendant of Adam. If Jesus Christ was simply another spiritually dead, sinful descendant of Adam, then Jesus Christ's Blood-Substitution-Sacrifice would be inadequate to satisfy God's Perfect Justice System, and the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ would not have balanced God's scales of perfect justice.
If YOU disbelieve that the Holy Spirit of God planted the Seed of God into the virgin Mary, and conceived Jesus Christ, the Son of God; then in accordance with the Holy Word of God, YOU are a pagan, and a sinful spiritual child of the devil, and if YOU do not repent, YOU will spend eternity in HELL!
The physical conception of Jesus Christ by the Holy Spirit of God, is a fore-glimpse of the spiritual conception of the "Born Again" Children of God, by the Holy Spirit of God.
Jesus Christ came to earth, lived a perfect life, and was Crucified on a cross in order to atone for YOUR sins with His Sacrificial Blood. All that is required for YOU to claim this grace (grace is unmerited favor) is to:
1. believe in YOUR heart that Jesus Christ is the Lord God, and that God raised Jesus Christ from the dead,
2. believe that Jesus Christ's Sacrificial Blood has the power to cleanse YOU from YOUR sins,
3. repent of YOUR sins and determine to stop sinning,
4. confess YOUR sins in prayer to Jesus Christ, and ask God to forgive YOU for sinning,
5. ask the Holy Spirit of God into YOUR heart and life as YOUR Lord and God,
6. confess to other people that Jesus Christ is YOUR Lord and God,
7. and comply with God's Law, which includes baptism. (The only way that YOU can know God's Law is for YOU to read God's Holy Word, which is the Holy Bible.)
God gave man the law, in order for God to expose to man, the sinful condition of man. In a direct contrast, God's redemption plan for man, demonstrates the love of God.
Romans 5:8 (NIV) But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
John 15:13-17 (NIV) "Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends if you do what I command. I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit--fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. This is my command: Love each other."
God loves YOU as much as God loves Jesus Christ.
John 17:23b,c (NIV) "May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me."
If God loves YOU as much as God loves Jesus Christ, that means that God's love is not effected by whom God's love is directed at!
God's love is unaffected by who the recipient is. God's love is unaffected by the heart condition of the recipient. God's love is unaffected by the emotional attitude of the recipient. God's love is unaffected by the recipient.
God's love is perfect, pure, infinite, totally unselfish "Agape" love. God loves YOU totally, completely, and infinitely. God loves Jesus Christ totally, completely, and infinitely. God loves sinners totally, completely, and infinitely. If God loves Jesus Christ more than God loves YOU, it would mean that God does not love YOU totally, completely, and infinitely. If God loves YOU more than God loves sinners, it would mean that God does not love sinners totally, completely, and infinitely.
If God loves YOU as much as God loves Jesus Christ, then it is only equitable if YOU love God, as much as God loves YOU. Through faith in the atoning Blood of Jesus Christ, it is possible for YOU to love God as much as God loves YOU. It is not only possible, it is God's first and greatest commandment.
Matthew 22:37-38 (NIV) Jesus replied: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment."
1 John 4:8b (NIV) God is love.
As YOU know that God is love, algebraically, YOU can conclude that Love is God. In an attempt to understand God's love, man has categorized God's love into three philosophic boxes. Those three categorizations are: "Eros", "Filial", and "Agape".
1. "Eros" is a sensuous, receiving love, or a negative love.
2. "Filial" is a brotherly, giving and receiving love, a reciprocal, or neutral love. The City of Philadelphia is the "city of brotherly love", and took their name from "Filial" love. Philadelphia is the "city of brotherly love" in name only, and not "the city of brotherly love" by reputation or practice.
3. "Agape" is a totally giving love to the unlovely; a positive love, or charity to those who cannot reciprocate. "Agape" love, is the love that God has for humanity.
Man's three categorical boxes of "Eros", "Filial", and "Agape" love, are as unenlightened in their categorization, as the belief that the moon is restricted to only ever being a quarter moon, a half moon, or a full moon. The light of the moon is a reflection of the light of the sun. The sun is always shining, but because of YOUR position on earth, in relation to the sun, YOU are only able to see the light of the sun, or the light of the sun reflected in varying degrees off of the moon. YOUR spectrum of vision, of the light of the sun reflected off of the moon, ranges from no moon, all the way to a full moon.
God's "Agape" love is always perfect, and always perfectly consistent. Because of YOUR position, YOU do not always see all of God's love. What YOU do see of the love of God, is based on YOUR position in relation to God, and is a spectrum, ranging from "Agape" love, to no love. The more selfish YOU are, the less YOU see of God. The less YOU see of God, the less YOU are able to reflect God's love to other people. Even sinners are able to reflect "Eros", and "Filial" love to other people.
Matthew 5:45b,c (NIV) "He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous."
The sinful spirit of the devil blinds a person from being able to see very much of God, and consequently, sinners are unable to reflect the "Agape" love of God to other people. YOU cannot remove the sinful spirit of the devil on YOUR own. YOUR request to God to eradicate the sinful spirit of the devil, and YOUR faith in the atoning Blood of Jesus Christ to do so, will enable YOU to metaphorically crucify YOUR sinful selfish-will, after which, YOU will be able to see and reflect the "Agape" love of God to other people.
The moon has no light of its own, it only reflects the light of the sun. YOU have no light (love) of YOUR own, YOU can only reflect God’s light (love). The reflection of the sun off of the moon is most visible at night, in the dark. God’s light (love) will reflect off of YOU most visibly in the middle of the darkness (hatred).
"But I know somehow, that only when it is dark enough, can you see the stars." - the Reverend Doctor Martin Luther King Jr. 1929-1968
When Jesus Christ asked Simon Peter, if Peter loved Jesus Christ, the original Greek text reflects that Jesus Christ asked Peter with the term for "Agape" love on the first two occasions. Peter answered Jesus Christ with the Greek term for "Filial" love on all three occasions. On the third time, Jesus Christ asked Peter using the term for "Filial" love. At that time, Peter was not filled with the Holy Spirit of God, as the Holy Spirit of God had not yet been given. Consequently, Peter could not come up to the level of "Agape" love, so Jesus Christ communicated with Peter on Peter's level.
John 21:15-17 (NIV) When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon son of John, do you truly love (agape) me more than these?" "Yes, Lord," he said, "you know that I love (filial) you." Jesus said, "Feed my lambs." Again Jesus said, "Simon son of John, do you truly love (agape) me?" He answered, "Yes, Lord, you know that I love (filial) you." Jesus said, "Take care of my sheep." The third time he said to him, "Simon son of John, do you love (filial) me?" Peter was hurt because Jesus asked him the third time, "Do you love (filial) me?" He said, "Lord, you know all things; you know that I love (filial) you." Jesus said, "Feed my sheep."
At that time, Simon Peter was still a spiritual descendant of the devil, and consequently was only able to come up to the "Filial" level of love, which is the same brotherly level of love that the tax collectors and pagans are able to exhibit. In Matthew 5:46-48 printed below, Jesus Christ references "Filial" or reciprocating, brotherly love, and illuminates that "tax collectors" and "pagans" are capable of that level of love.
Matthew 5:46-48 (NIV) "If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect."
IN MATTHEW 5:48 PRINTED ABOVE, YOU ARE DIRECTED BY JESUS CHRIST TO BE PERFECT IN (AGAPE) LOVE AS YOUR HEAVENLY FATHER IS PERFECT IN (AGAPE) LOVE.
"Agape" love is so powerful that it enables YOU to love those who hate YOU.
"It is man’s peculiar duty to love even those who wrong him." - Marcus Aurelius Antoninus 121-180 A. D.
Jesus Christ is the greatest reflector of the Father's love. Following the giving of the Holy Spirit of God, Stephen as a spiritual descendant of God is also able to reflect God's "Agape" love. Jesus Christ's and Stephen's reflection of the Father's love was so powerful that they could reflect love, even when hatred and death was being directed at them. As a "Born Again" Child of God, YOU should consider it a wonderful opportunity, and take great joy in proving YOUR love for God by showing kindness and love even to those who hate YOU.
Luke 23:33-34a (NIV) When they came to the place called the Skull, there they crucified him, along with the criminals--one on his right, the other on his left. Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing."
Acts 7:55-60 (NIV) But Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit, looked up to heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God. "Look," he said, "I see heaven open and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God." At this they covered their ears and, yelling at the top of their voices, they all rushed at him, dragged him out of the city and began to stone him. Meanwhile, the witnesses laid their clothes at the feet of a young man named Saul. While they were stoning him, Stephen prayed, "Lord Jesus, receive my spirit." Then he fell on his knees and cried out, "Lord, do not hold this sin against them." When he had said this, he fell asleep.
As YOU learn of God's love, YOU must reflect God's love to other people. Then those people who see the reflection of God's love in YOU will also learn of God's love, and will worship Him.
“If we could read the secret history of our enemies, we should find in each man’s life sorrow and suffering enough to disarm all hostility.” - Henry Wadsworth Longfellow 1807-1882
The proof of God's love, is God's works.
John 3:16 (NIV) "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
God has judged Himself by the same cause-and-effect judicial system that God will judge YOU by. God proves God's Love by God's works. God will judge YOU by YOUR works, as they are the test of whether YOU love God. If YOU love God, YOU will exhibit the effects of God's love (cause and effect). If YOU do not love God, YOU will not exhibit any effects of God's love (no cause and no effect).
James 2:14-26 (NIV) What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him? Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him, "Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed," but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. But someone will say, "You have faith; I have deeds." Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do. You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that--and shudder. You foolish man, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless ? Was not our ancestor Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did. And the scripture was fulfilled that says, "Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness," and he was called God's friend. You see that a person is justified by what he does and not by faith alone. In the same way, was not even Rahab the prostitute considered righteous for what she did when she gave lodging to the spies and sent them off in a different direction? As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.
The entire universe is in perfect synchronization with God, except lawless humans. When YOU crucify YOUR self-will and are consequently filled with the Holy Spirit of God, YOU will become synchronized with God and the entire universe; except lawless humans. It becomes YOUR privilege and function to mirror the love of God, irrespective of the position or reaction of the entity to which YOUR love is being directed.
Selflessness does not necessarily mean the presence of love. Selflessness may be a reflection of love, but in and of itself, it is not love. One can be selfless, but still not love.
1 Corinthians 13:1-3 (NIV) If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.
YOU could be totally selfless and still not have love, because love is not self generated. Love comes from and is a reflection of God. There are missionaries who have spent their entire lives on foreign fields who have produced nothing for Jesus Christ. While those missionaries may be personally, and socially accepted among the people that they have spent their lives with, they have effected no movement to God among the targeted people, because these missionaries have never been born of the Holy Spirit of God. Consequently, these missionaries cannot produce fruit from the Holy Spirit of God. These missionaries simply cannot give something that they do not have.
John 15:1-5 (NIV) "I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. "I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing."
1 John 4:19 (NIV) We love because he first loved us.
Those people who are filled with the Holy Spirit of God are spiritually created to be the Bride of Christ. God's love is so powerful that God loves those people who hate Him. In order to be included in the Bride of Christ, YOUR love must be such a powerful reflection of God's love, that YOU are able to love those people who hate YOU. When Jesus Christ, whose love is so powerful that He loves those people who hate Him; marries His Bride, whose reflection of God's love is so powerful that they are able to love those people who hate them; how unfathomably strong will that love bond be between Jesus Christ and His Bride, who love each other with all of their heart.
As "Eros" love is a sensuous, receiving love; the opposite, or alter-ego of "Eros" love, is to hate those who are sensuous to YOU. The murder of prostitutes, rape, sadism, sadomasochism, and masochism are the external acts of that depraved internal sinful state of being.
As "Filial" love is a brotherly, giving and receiving love, or a reciprocal love; the opposite, or alter-ego of "Filial" love, is to reciprocally hate those who hate YOU.
Matthew 5:43-45 (NIV) "You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous."
As "Agape" love is a totally giving love, or the ability to love someone who hates YOU, the opposite, or alter-ego of "Agape" love, is to hate someone who loves YOU. Many of the spiritual descendants of the devil have deteriorated to the opposite end of the spiritual spectrum, and hate God, and the spiritual descendants of God, who love them.
1 John 3:12-13 (NIV) Do not be like Cain, who belonged to the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his own actions were evil and his brother's were righteous. 13 Do not be surprised, my brothers, if the world hates you.
John 15:18-19 (NIV) "If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you."
John 17:14 (NIV) "I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world."
Proverbs 29:10 (NIV) Bloodthirsty men hate a man of integrity and seek to kill the upright.
Matthew 10:22 and Mark 13:13 (NIV) "All men will hate you because of me, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved."
Luke 6:22 (NIV) "Blessed are you when men hate you, when they exclude you and insult you and reject your name as evil, because of the Son of Man."
To commit sin, is to violate the Law of God; a commission which may or may not be evidenced in, or followed by, a physical act. Sin itself, is the state of a person's spirit being sinful, or lawless. Sin is the state of being in violation of God's Law.
1 John 3:4 (NIV) Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness.
To further clarify, deafness is the state of being deaf, blindness is the state of being blind, Holiness is the state of being Holy, lawlessness is the state of being lawless, or the state of being in violation of God's Law.
1 John 3:4-10 (NIV) Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness. But you know that he appeared so that he might take away our sins. And in him is no sin. No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him. Dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray. He who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous. He who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil's work. No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God's seed remains in him; he cannot go on sinning, because he has been born of God. This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not a child of God; nor is anyone who does not love his brother.
If YOU are a spiritual descendant of the devil, the state of YOUR being is lawless, and YOU WILL commit acts of sin. If YOU are a spiritual descendant of God, the state of YOUR being is Holy, and YOU WILL NOT commit acts of sin.
Luke 6:43-45 (NIV) "No good tree bears bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit. Each tree is recognized by its own fruit. People do not pick figs from thornbushes, or grapes from briers. The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks."
In the entire universe, only fallen angels, and man with his free-will is permitted by God to be sinful. However, God will only permit sin throughout the universe during the the Seven Thousand Years of Measured Time. God is permitting sin throughout the universe during the Seven Thousand Years of Measured Time, in order to give each individual human, including those born and those not-yet-born, the time that is necessary for them to choose whether they will serve God, or whether they will commit sin. Following the Seven Thousand Years of Measured Time, God will gather all of the sinful creatures in the entire universe, and confine them together in Hell. Exactly like the sinful devil, and his sinful angels, sinful man will ultimately be cast into the lake of fire with the devil and his angels.
Revelation 20:10 (NIV) And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
Matthew 25: 41-46 (NIV) "Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.' "They also will answer, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?' "He will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.' "Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life."
Matthew 8:28-33 printed below, reveals that the fallen angels who became demons know that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and the demons also know that they will ultimately be cast into the Lake of Fire for eternity following the Seven Thousand Years of Measured Time. The demons know who Jesus Christ is, because they had served Jesus Christ in His deity as Lord God in Heaven, before the demons were cast out of Heaven. The demons also know that they will ultimately be cast into the Lake of Fire for eternity, evidenced by the fact that the demons begged Jesus Christ not to torture them before the time of their torture was scheduled.
Matthew 8:28-33 (NIV) When he arrived at the other side in the region of the Gadarenes, two demon-possessed men coming from the tombs met him. They were so violent that no one could pass that way. "What do you want with us, Son of God?" they shouted. "Have you come here to torture us before the appointed time?" Some distance from them a large herd of pigs was feeding. The demons begged Jesus, "If you drive us out, send us into the herd of pigs." He said to them, "Go!" So they came out and went into the pigs, and the whole herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake and died in the water. Those tending the pigs ran off, went into the town and reported all this, including what had happened to the demon-possessed men.
The physical body with cancer is a paradigm of God's universe with sin. I love my body, but if some of my individual cells become cancerous and no longer respond to the order required for the good of my body, if these cancerous cells go their own way, and do what they individually want to do, then I must remove and destroy those cancerous cells before they destroy my whole body.
1 Corinthians 5:6b (NIV) Don't you know that a little yeast works through the whole batch of dough?
GOD IS PERFECTLY CONSISTENT THROUGHOUT ETERNITY AND TIME!
Malachi 3:6a (NIV) "I the Lord do not change".
Hebrews 13:8 (NIV) Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
GOD'S POSITION ON SIN HAS NOT EVER CHANGED, AND GOD'S POSITION ON SIN WILL NEVER CHANGE!
Numbers 23:19 (NIV) God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?
Adam is the physical father of all of mankind. Every human, living and dead, is a physical descendant of Adam. Every human, living and dead, was born with the same sinful spirit of death in them, that Adam incurred when Adam sinned. In order to live spiritually, sometime after YOUR physical birth, YOU must be conceived spiritually by the Holy Spirit of God, and thereby to become, "born again" of God.
John 3:3-8 (NIV) In reply Jesus declared, "I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again." "How can a man be born when he is old?" Nicodemus asked. "Surely he cannot enter a second time into his mother's womb to be born!" Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. You should not be surprised at my saying, 'You must be born again.' The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit."
God is the spiritual Father of those of mankind who, through faith in Jesus Christ, have been "born again" of the Holy Spirit of Life. Every human, living and dead, who is "born again" of the Holy Spirit of Life is a spiritual descendant of God. Every human, living and dead, who is "born again" of the Holy Spirit of Life, is "born again" with the same Holy Spirit of Life in them that impregnated the virgin Mary, and that raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Through the shedding of His Blood, Jesus Christ personally restored spiritual life to those of the human race who chose to receive Him. Jesus Christ will restore to those of the human race who choose Him, what Adam had lost from the human race, by Adam's choosing to sin.
1 Corinthians 15:21-22 (NIV) For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. 22 For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.
1 Corinthians 15:44b-49 (NIV) If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body. 45 So it is written: "The first man Adam became a living being"; the last Adam, a life-giving spirit. 46 The spiritual did not come first, but the natural, and after that the spiritual. 47 The first man was of the dust of the earth, the second man from heaven. 48 As was the earthly man, so are those who are of the earth; and as is the man from heaven, so also are those who are of heaven. 49 And just as we have borne the likeness of the earthly man, so shall we bear the likeness of the man from heaven.
The Lord God took on the human likeness of Jesus Christ and was Crucified on a cross in order to pay the penalty for YOUR sin. God exalted Jesus Christ because of what Jesus Christ personally accomplished.
Jesus Christ was physically conceived in the virgin Mary by the Holy Spirit of God. If YOU choose to worship God through faith in Jesus Christ, YOU will become "born again." If YOU become "born again," it is because YOU were spiritually conceived by the exact same Holy Spirit of God that physically conceived Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ's physical conception is a fore-glimpse of the spiritual conception of those who become "born again." Consequently YOU and Jesus Christ will then have the same Father. YOU will become a child of God, a brother/sister to Jesus Christ, and a brother/sister to everyone else who is spiritually conceived by the Holy Spirit of God. Jesus Christ has opened the way for YOU to have a family relationship with the children of God, and with God Himself.

Galatians 4:4-7 (NIV) But when the time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under law, to redeem those under law, that we might receive the full rights of sons. Because you are sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, "Abba, Father." So you are no longer a slave, but a son; and since you are a son, God has made you also an heir.
Matthew 12:46-50 (NIV) While Jesus was still talking to the crowd, his mother and brothers stood outside, wanting to speak to him. Someone told him, "Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to speak to you." He replied to him, "Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?" Pointing to his disciples, he said, "Here are my mother and my brothers. For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother."
Hebrews 2:11 (NIV) Both the one who makes men holy and those who are made holy are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers.
Ephesians 2:19 (NIV) Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with God's people and members of God's household,
If YOU commit sin will YOU lose YOUR family relationship with God? The Holy Word of God answered that question very clearly in John 8:34-35, and Romans 8:13-17 printed below.
John 8:34-35 (NIV) Jesus replied, "I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. 35 Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever."
Romans 8:13-17 (NIV) For if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live, because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, "Abba, Father." The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs--heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.
If YOU commit sin will YOU lose YOUR salvation?
Salvation (sal-va'shun), not necessarily a technical theological term, but simply denotes "deliverance" from almost any kind of evil, whether material or spiritual. Theologically, however, it denotes (1) the whole process by which man is delivered from all that interferes with the enjoyment of God's highest blessings, (2) the actual enjoyment of those blessings. The root idea in salvation is deliverance from some danger or evil. This deliverance may be from defeat in battle (Exod. 15:2), trouble (Ps. 34:6), enemies (II Sam. 3:10), violence (II Sam. 22:3), reproach (Ps. 57:3), exile (Ps. 106:47), death (Ps. 6:4), sin (Ezek. 36:29). The outstanding instance of divine salvation in the early history of Israel was the deliverance from Egypt. Since it is God who provides the deliverance, He is often spoken of as Savior (Isa. 43:3,11; Jer. 14:8), a title which in the NT is usually applied to Jesus Christ. At first the conception of salvation is primarily national, but gradually the prophetic horizon broadens and salvation is seen to include Gentiles as well as Jews (Isa. 49:5,6; 55:1-5). There is also increasing stress upon the individual. Salvation is not necessarily for the nation as a whole, but for the righteous remnant. It includes, moreover, deliverance from sin itself as well as from the various evils which are the consequence of sin (Ps. 51; Jer. 31:31-35; Ezek. 36:25-29). With the development of the Messianic idea the word salvation comes to be used in the technical theological sense of the deliverance, especially from sin, to be brought in with the Messianic age. In the OT, complete trust in God was the most important of the human conditions for salvation. Next in importance, and following naturally from the first, was obedience to God's moral law as expressed in the various codes of law. God, however, was not satisfied with a mere legalistic fulfillment of the letter of the law. Forgiveness of sins was conditioned upon repentance. Most sins also required a ritual sacrifice as part of the act of repentance. The central theme of the entire apostolic age is the salvation brought by Jesus. Salvation is represented primarily as deliverance from sin. The whole NT lays stress upon the sufferings and death of Christ as mediating salvation (Eph. 2:13-18). As in the teaching of Jesus (Matt. 9:22) salvation throughout the NT is regarded as a present experience, but is eschatological as well. Indeed, the blessings of salvation the believer has now are only a foretaste of what are to be his in the coming age, after Christ comes. The salvation Christ brings is not merely deliverance from future punishment, but also from sin as a present power (Rom. 6). It includes all the redemptive blessings we have in Christ, chiefly conversion, regeneration, justification, adoption, sanctification, and glorification. It provides a solution for the whole problem of sin, in all its many aspects. In some sense, the doctrine of salvation extends beyond man so as to affect the universe. Eventually all things are to be subjected unto the Son (I Cor. 15:28), and all things in heaven and on earth will be summed up in Christ (Eph. 1:10). - The New Compact Bible Dictionary - Zondervan
Jesus Christ is the Holy Word of God.
John 1:1-5 (NIV) In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it.
God has given YOU Jesus Christ, who is the Holy Word of God, in order to enable YOU to have spiritual life, and in order to instruct YOU concerning how YOU may KEEP YOUR spiritual life. As God gave Adam clear warning in the Garden of Eden concerning how Adam could lose Adam's spiritual life, so God has also given YOU clear warning through the Holy Word of God concerning how YOU can LOSE YOUR spiritual life.
Deuteronomy 11:13-17 (NIV) So if you faithfully obey the commands I am giving you today--to love the LORD your God and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul-- 14 then I will send rain on your land in its season, both autumn and spring rains, so that you may gather in your grain, new wine and oil. 15 I will provide grass in the fields for your cattle, and you will eat and be satisfied. 16 Be careful, or you will be enticed to turn away and worship other gods and bow down to them. 17 Then the Lord's anger will burn against you, and he will shut the heavens so that it will not rain and the ground will yield no produce, and you will soon perish from the good land the LORD is giving you.
Deuteronomy 30:11-20 (NIV) Now what I am commanding you today is not too difficult for you or beyond your reach. 12 It is not up in heaven, so that you have to ask, "Who will ascend into heaven to get it and proclaim it to us so we may obey it?" 13 Nor is it beyond the sea, so that you have to ask, "Who will cross the sea to get it and proclaim it to us so we may obey it?" 14 No, the word is very near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart so you may obey it. 15 See, I set before you today life and prosperity, death and destruction. 16 For I command you today to love the LORD your God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commands, decrees and laws; then you will live and increase, and the LORD your God will bless you in the land you are entering to possess. 17 But if your heart turns away and you are not obedient, and if you are drawn away to bow down to other gods and worship them, 18 I declare to you this day that you will certainly be destroyed. You will not live long in the land you are crossing the Jordan to enter and possess. 19 This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live 20 and that you may love the LORD your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the LORD is your life, and he will give you many years in the land he swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
1 Chronicles 28:9 (NIV) "And you, my son Solomon, acknowledge the God of your father, and serve him with wholehearted devotion and with a willing mind, for the LORD searches every heart and understands every motive behind the thoughts. If you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will reject you forever.
2 Chronicles 15:1-2 (NIV) The Spirit of God came upon Azariah son of Oded. 2 He went out to meet Asa and said to him, "Listen to me, Asa and all Judah and Benjamin. The LORD is with you when you are with him. If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you forsake him, he will forsake you.
Isaiah 7:9b (NIV) If you do not stand firm in your faith, you will not stand at all.'"
Isaiah 63:9-10 (NIV) In all their distress he too was distressed, and the angel of his presence saved them. In his love and mercy he redeemed them; he lifted them up and carried them all the days of old. 10 Yet they rebelled and grieved his Holy Spirit. So he turned and became their enemy and he himself fought against them.
Ezekiel 18 (NIV) The word of the LORD came to me: 2 "What do you people mean by quoting this proverb about the land of Israel: "'The fathers eat sour grapes, and the children's teeth are set on edge'? 3 "As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign LORD, you will no longer quote this proverb in Israel. 4 For every living soul belongs to me, the father as well as the son--both alike belong to me. The soul who sins is the one who will die. 5 "Suppose there is a righteous man who does what is just and right. 6 He does not eat at the mountain shrines or look to the idols of the house of Israel. He does not defile his neighbor's wife or lie with a woman during her period. 7 He does not oppress anyone, but returns what he took in pledge for a loan. He does not commit robbery but gives his food to the hungry and provides clothing for the naked. 8 He does not lend at usury or take excessive interest. He withholds his hand from doing wrong and judges fairly between man and man. 9 He follows my decrees and faithfully keeps my laws. That man is righteous; he will surely live, declares the Sovereign LORD. 10 "Suppose he has a violent son, who sheds blood or does any of these other things 11 (though the father has done none of them): "He eats at the mountain shrines. He defiles his neighbor's wife. 12 He oppresses the poor and needy. He commits robbery. He does not return what he took in pledge. He looks to the idols. He does detestable things. 13 He lends at usury and takes excessive interest. Will such a man live? He will not! Because he has done all these detestable things, he will surely be put to death and his blood will be on his own head. 14 "But suppose this son has a son who sees all the sins his father commits, and though he sees them, he does not do such things: 15 "He does not eat at the mountain shrines or look to the idols of the house of Israel. He does not defile his neighbor's wife. 16 He does not oppress anyone or require a pledge for a loan. He does not commit robbery but gives his food to the hungry and provides clothing for the naked. 17 He withholds his hand from sin and takes no usury or excessive interest. He keeps my laws and follows my decrees. He will not die for his father's sin; he will surely live. 18 But his father will die for his own sin, because he practiced extortion, robbed his brother and did what was wrong among his people. 19 "Yet you ask, 'Why does the son not share the guilt of his father?' Since the son has done what is just and right and has been careful to keep all my decrees, he will surely live. 20 The soul who sins is the one who will die. The son will not share the guilt of the father, nor will the father share the guilt of the son. The righteousness of the righteous man will be credited to him, and the wickedness of the wicked will be charged against him. 21 "But if a wicked man turns away from all the sins he has committed and keeps all my decrees and does what is just and right, he will surely live; he will not die. 22 None of the offenses he has committed will be remembered against him. Because of the righteous things he has done, he will live. 23 Do I take any pleasure in the death of the wicked? declares the Sovereign LORD. Rather, am I not pleased when they turn from their ways and live? 24 "But if a righteous man turns from his righteousness and commits sin and does the same detestable things the wicked man does, will he live? None of the righteous things he has done will be remembered. Because of the unfaithfulness he is guilty of and because of the sins he has committed, he will die. 25 "Yet you say, 'The way of the Lord is not just.' Hear, O house of Israel: Is my way unjust? Is it not your ways that are unjust? 26 If a righteous man turns from his righteousness and commits sin, he will die for it; because of the sin he has committed he will die. 27 But if a wicked man turns away from the wickedness he has committed and does what is just and right, he will save his life. 28 Because he considers all the offenses he has committed and turns away from them, he will surely live; he will not die. 29 Yet the house of Israel says, 'The way of the Lord is not just.' Are my ways unjust, O house of Israel? Is it not your ways that are unjust? 30 "Therefore, O house of Israel, I will judge you, each one according to his ways, declares the Sovereign LORD. Repent! Turn away from all your offenses; then sin will not be your downfall. 31 Rid yourselves of all the offenses you have committed, and get a new heart and a new spirit. Why will you die, O house of Israel? 32 For I take no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Sovereign LORD. Repent and live!
Ezekiel 33:12-13 (NIV) "Therefore, son of man, say to your countrymen, 'The righteousness of the righteous man will not save him when he disobeys, and the wickedness of the wicked man will not cause him to fall when he turns from it. The righteous man, if he sins, will not be allowed to live because of his former righteousness.' 13 If I tell the righteous man that he will surely live, but then he trusts in his righteousness and does evil, none of the righteous things he has done will be remembered; he will die for the evil he has done.
Matthew 5:13 (NIV) "You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men."
Matthew 13:41-42 (NIV) "The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will weed out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil. They will throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth."
Matthew 24:45-51 (NIV) "Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of the servants in his household to give them their food at the proper time? It will be good for that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns. I tell you the truth, he will put him in charge of all his possessions. But suppose that servant is wicked and says to himself, 'My master is staying away a long time,' and he then begins to beat his fellow servants and to eat and drink with drunkards. The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not aware of. He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth."
Luke 11:24-26 (NIV) "When an evil spirit comes out of a man, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. Then it says, 'I will return to the house I left.' When it arrives, it finds the house swept clean and put in order. Then it goes and takes seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that man is worse than the first."
Jude 1:5-7 (NIV) Though you already know all this, I want to remind you that the Lord delivered his people out of Egypt, but later destroyed those who did not believe. 6 And the angels who did not keep their positions of authority but abandoned their own home--these he has kept in darkness, bound with everlasting chains for judgment on the great Day. 7 In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire.
The Holy Spirit of God through the Apostle Paul, referenced in Romans 11:17-24 printed below draws an analogy between the Jewish people, who are God's covenant children and a cultivated olive tree; and the Gentiles, who are described as "a wild olive shoot". He states that the Jewish people were cut off because of unbelief. The Holy Spirit of God through Paul states that, "if God did not spare the natural branches, he will not spare YOU either." After YOU have been grafted into the root of God, if YOU do not "continue in his kindness", then "YOU also will be cut off."
Romans 11:17-24 (NIV) If some of the branches have been broken off, and you, though a wild olive shoot, have been grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing sap from the olive root, 18 do not boast over those branches. If you do, consider this: You do not support the root, but the root supports you. 19 You will say then, "Branches were broken off so that I could be grafted in." 20 Granted. But they were broken off because of unbelief, and you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but be afraid. 21 For if God did not spare the natural branches, he will not spare you either. 22 Consider therefore the kindness and sternness of God: sternness to those who fell, but kindness to you, provided that you continue in his kindness. Otherwise, you also will be cut off. 23 And if they do not persist in unbelief, they will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again. 24 After all, if you were cut out of an olive tree that is wild by nature, and contrary to nature were grafted into a cultivated olive tree, how much more readily will these, the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree!
In 1 Corinthians 3:16-17 printed below, the Apostle Paul references people who are filled with the Holy Spirit of God, and God's punishment for them if they sin:
1 Corinthians 3:16-17 (NIV) Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's Spirit lives in you? 17 If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him; for God's temple is sacred, and you are that temple.
The Apostle Paul was certainly filled with the Holy Spirit of God, and yet 1 Corinthians 9:26-27 printed below, reflects that Paul knew that he could lose his spiritual life.
1 Corinthians 9:26-27 (NIV) Therefore I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air. 27 No, I beat my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.
The writer to the Hebrews is crystal clear in stating that people who are filled with the Holy Spirit of God can lose their spiritual life:
Hebrews 6:4-6 (NIV) It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit, 5 who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age, 6 if they fall away, to be brought back to repentance, because to their loss they are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting him to public disgrace.
The Holy Spirit of God through the Apostle Peter is always very clear on whether YOU can lose YOUR spiritual life, as reflected in 2 Peter 2:20-22 printed below.
2 Peter 2:20-22 (NIV) If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning. 21 It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have known it and then to turn their backs on the sacred command that was passed on to them. 22 Of them the proverbs are true: "A dog returns to its vomit," and, "A sow that is washed goes back to her wallowing in the mud."
In accordance with the Holy Word of God referenced in John 8:34-35 printed below, if YOU do not sin, YOU are a son forever. YOU have eternal security. If YOU do sin, YOU are not a son, YOU are a slave to sin, and YOU have no permanent place in the family.
John 8:34-35 (NIV) Jesus replied, "I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever."
Through His Holy Word, God clearly teaches conditional eternal security. YOU are eternally secure IF YOU DO NOT SIN!
1 John 2:3-4 (NIV) We know that we have come to know him if we obey his commands. 4 The man who says, "I know him," but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
John 15:10 (NIV) "If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father's commands and remain in his love."
1 Corinthians 15:2 (NIV) By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain.
1 John 1:7 (NIV) But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.
2 Peter 1:10 (NIV) Therefore, my brothers, be all the more eager to make your calling and election sure. For if you do these things, you will never fall,
Jesus Christ is the Truth.
John 14:6a (NIV) Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life."
Jesus Christ is the Truth referenced in Hebrews 10:26 printed below. Knowledge of the Truth is knowledge of Jesus Christ.
Hebrews 10:26-31 (NIV) If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, 27 but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God. 28 Anyone who rejected the law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29 How much more severely do you think a man deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God under foot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified him, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace? 30 For we know him who said, "It is mine to avenge; I will repay," and again, "The Lord will judge his people." 31 It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
After YOU become filled with the Holy Spirit of God, YOU will still be tempted to sin. A thought going through YOUR mind, of an act that would be sin, if it were acted upon, is NOT sin; it is a temptation to sin. Temptation is not sin. A tempting thought going through YOUR mind is NOT sin. If after YOU become filled with the Holy Spirit of God, a tempting thought never went through YOUR mind, that if YOU acted upon would be a sin; then their would not be a need for the fruit of the Spirit evidenced by self control.
Galatians 5:22-23a (NIV) But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
Being filled with the Holy Spirit of God gives YOU the self control to NOT act upon the tempting thoughts that go through YOUR mind.
Jesus Christ was tempted. Jesus Christ had tempting thoughts go through Jesus Christ's mind, that if Jesus Christ had acted upon would have been sin; yet Jesus Christ never acted upon those temptations and sinned.
Hebrews 4:14-15 (NIV) Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has gone through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are--yet was without sin.
As the devil tempted Eve, Adam, and then Jesus Christ to sin, so YOU will be tempted to sin, as referenced in James 1:14-15 printed below.
James 1:14-15 (NIV) but each one is tempted when, by his own desire, he is dragged away and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.
When YOU savor the temptation in YOUR mind, the temptation weakens YOU, at which point YOU may decide to act on the temptation. It is at the precise moment when YOU decide to act on the temptation, even prior to the commission of the act, that YOU commit sin. If YOU know that YOU love candy, but YOU have decided not to eat any, it would be foolish on YOUR part to go into the candy store. YOU may even need to stay out of the area of the city that has a candy store. The Holy Word of God gives YOU great truth concerning the limits of temptation in 1 Corinthians 10:13 printed below:
1 Corinthians 10:13 (NIV) No temptation has seized YOU except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let YOU be tempted beyond what YOU can bear. But when YOU are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that YOU can stand up under it.
The Holy Word of God referenced in 1 Corinthians 10:13a states that YOU will not be tempted in any way that Adam and Eve, Jesus Christ, and all mankind have not been tempted in.
1 Corinthians 10:13a (NIV) No temptation has seized YOU except what is common to man.
1 Corinthians 10:13b (NIV) And God is faithful; he will not let YOU be tempted beyond what YOU can bear.
Does God not allow YOU to be tempted, "beyond what YOU can bear", physically? or spiritually? We know that Jesus Christ was Crucified, and many "Born Again" Children of God have been physically killed, including most of Jesus Christ's disciples. Therefore we know that "beyond what YOU can bear" does not relate to the physical realm, but to the spiritual realm. God will not allow a believer who is filled with the Holy Spirit of God to be tempted to the point where they cannot hold out, and must sin. If YOU become filled with the Holy Spirit of God, then God will not allow YOU to be tempted beyond that point where YOU cannot withstand the temptation to sin.
1 Corinthians 10:13c (NIV) But when YOU are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that YOU can stand up under it.
To "stand up" under the temptation is to not fall under the temptation. It is to not sin.
In the Levitical Law, there was a Sin Offering and a Guilt Offering for unintentional sins against the Lord's commands. The Substitution-Sacrifice for unintentional sins was required day after day, year after year.
Leviticus 4:1-3 (NIV) The LORD said to Moses, "Say to the Israelites: 'When anyone sins unintentionally and does what is forbidden in any of the Lord's commands--"'If the anointed priest sins, bringing guilt on the people, he must bring to the LORD a young bull without defect as a sin offering for the sin he has committed.
Leviticus 4:13 (NIV) "'If the whole Israelite community sins unintentionally and does what is forbidden in any of the Lord's commands, even though the community is unaware of the matter, they are guilty.
Leviticus 4:22 (NIV) "'When a leader sins unintentionally and does what is forbidden in any of the commands of the LORD his God, he is guilty.
Leviticus 4:27 (NIV) "'If a member of the community sins unintentionally and does what is forbidden in any of the Lord's commands, he is guilty.
Leviticus 5:14-15 (NIV) The LORD said to Moses: "When a person commits a violation and sins unintentionally in regard to any of the Lord's holy things, he is to bring to the LORD as a penalty a ram from the flock, one without defect and of the proper value in silver, according to the sanctuary shekel. It is a guilt offering.
Unintentional sins against the Lord's commands were atoned for by the Sin Offering and the Guilt Offering, which included the Blood-Substitution-Sacrifice of bulls, sheep, and goats. Thank God that Jesus Christ fulfilled the requirements of the Sin Offering and the Guilt Offering, when Jesus Christ upgraded the Lord's commands from the Blood-Substitution-Sacrifice of bulls, sheep, and goats to the perfect grace Blood-Substitution-Sacrifice of Himself.
Hebrews 7:27 (NIV) Unlike the other high priests, he does not need to offer sacrifices day after day, first for his own sins, and then for the sins of the people. He sacrificed for their sins once for all when he offered himself.
Jesus Christ is now the REQUIRED and ONLY Blood-Substitution-Sacrifice for all violations of God's Law.
John 14:6 (NIV) Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
Acts 4:12 (NIV) "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved."
The Holy Spirit of God will counsel the Holy Spirit of God-filled believer for all unintentional digressions from God's perfect-will. If the act is an unintentional digression from God's perfect-will, it is not an act of sin, because the acts of sin come from the sinful spirit of the devil within a person's heart. If there is no sinful spirit of the devil within a person's heart, there is no lawless selfish-will. If there is no lawless selfish-will, there will be no conscious or unconscious lawless acts of sin. As the Holy Spirit of God reveals God's perfect-will in a particular area, the Holy Spirit of God-filled believer will follow God's perfect-will. In that way the Holy Spirit of God effects increased Righteousness in the believer following the infilling of the Holy Spirit of God in that believer. Once the Holy Spirit of God counsels the believer concerning God's perfect-will, if the believer decides to deviate from God's perfect-will, it is no longer an unintentional digression. Once the Holy Spirit of God counsels the believer concerning God's perfect-will, if the believer decides to deviate from God's perfect-will, it then becomes an intentional violation. If YOU have knowledge of God's perfect-will, and then YOU decide to violate God's perfect-will, that lawless decision will instantly restore YOUR lawless selfish-will to YOUR heart, even prior to YOUR act of lawlessness.
Compliance with the written code of God's Law cannot effect communion with God, so the written code was nailed to the cross, and fulfilled in Jesus Christ. Because of the precious Blood of Jesus Christ, YOU are no longer required to perform the animal sacrifices that were mandated by God's Law. YOU are now under the grace (grace is unmerited favor) of God.
Colossians 2:9-17 (NIV) For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, and you have been given fullness in Christ, who is the head over every power and authority. In him you were also circumcised, in the putting off of the sinful nature, not with a circumcision done by the hands of men but with the circumcision done by Christ, having been buried with him in baptism and raised with him through your faith in the power of God, who raised him from the dead. When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your sinful nature, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, having canceled the written code, with its regulations, that was against us and that stood opposed to us; he took it away, nailing it to the cross. And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross. Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ.
Romans 6:14 (NIV) For sin shall not be your master, because you are not under law, but under grace.
Galatians 3:10-13 (NIV) All who rely on observing the law are under a curse, for it is written: "Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law." Clearly no one is justified before God by the law, because, "The righteous will live by faith." The law is not based on faith; on the contrary, "The man who does these things will live by them." Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: "Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree."
Hebrews 8:10 (NIV) This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after that time, declares the Lord. I will put my laws in their minds and write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.
Hebrews 10:1-18 (NIV) The law is only a shadow of the good things that are coming--not the realities themselves. For this reason it can never, by the same sacrifices repeated endlessly year after year, make perfect those who draw near to worship. If it could, would they not have stopped being offered? For the worshipers would have been cleansed once for all, and would no longer have felt guilty for their sins. But those sacrifices are an annual reminder of sins, because it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins. Therefore, when Christ came into the world, he said: "Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but a body you prepared for me; with burnt offerings and sin offerings you were not pleased. Then I said, 'Here I am--it is written about me in the scroll-- I have come to do your will, O God.'" First he said, "Sacrifices and offerings, burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not desire, nor were you pleased with them" (although the law required them to be made). Then he said, "Here I am, I have come to do your will." He sets aside the first to establish the second. And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. Day after day every priest stands and performs his religious duties; again and again he offers the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. But when this priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God. Since that time he waits for his enemies to be made his footstool, because by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy. The Holy Spirit also testifies to us about this. First he says: "This is the covenant I will make with them after that time, says the Lord. I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds." Then he adds: "Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more." And where these have been forgiven, there is no longer any sacrifice for sin.
What does the Holy Word of God actually mean when the Holy Scriptures state that YOU are now under grace (grace is unmerited favor) and not under law? Because YOU are now under the unmerited favor of God, and not under law, do YOU no longer have to comply with the Ten Commandments? Are YOU now allowed to have other god's before the Lord God? Are YOU now allowed to engage in idolatry? Are YOU now allowed to blaspheme the Name of God? What are the rules of the Sabbath Day that YOU must keep? Are YOU now allowed to dishonor YOUR parents? Are YOU now allowed to commit murder, to commit adultery, to steal, or to lie? The answer is obviously NO. And yet there are those who believe that under God's grace, YOU are now allowed to violate any and all of God's spiritual laws without any penalty. Jesus Christ paid the penalty for YOUR violation of God's Law. It does not give YOU a license to continue in violation of God's Law.
Jude 1:4 (NIV) For certain men whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are godless men, who change the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord.
"Godless men" who teach that under grace, YOU can now violate God's Law without any penalty, "deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord." These "godless men" clearly expose the irrefutable fact that they are spiritual brothers of Esau, and the spiritual descendants of the devil!
If God's spiritual laws are no longer in effect because YOU are now under grace, then God's physical laws have also been judged null and void. If YOU believe that God's physical laws are inconsistent and no longer in effect, then I challenge YOU to attempt to defy the law of gravity and fly. YOU can't fly because God's physical laws are still in effect. God's Law never changes, as man is able to understand it, knowledge of God's Law increases. Because of Jesus Christ, YOU now have the opportunity to understand God's Law more clearly.
Jesus Christ did not ELIMINATE the Law.
eliminate vt - nat-ed; -nat-ing [L eliminatus, pp. of eliminare, fr. e-+ limin-, limen threshold] (1568) 1 a: to cast out or get rid of: REMOVE, ERADICATE <the need to ~ poverty> b: to set aside as unimportant: IGNORE 2: to expel (as waste) from the living body 3: to cause (as an unknown) to disappear by combining two or more mathematical equations - elim-i-native adj elim-i-nator n - Merriam Webster's Collegiate Dictionary Tenth Edition
Jesus Christ NEVER denounced or minimized God's Law. Jesus Christ consistently criticized the Jewish clergy's interpretation of God's Law. Jesus Christ also criticized the traditions that the Jewish clergy considered to be superior to God's Law, or that the Jewish clergy used to negate God's Law.
Matthew 5:17-19 (NIV) "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. Anyone who breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven."
John 7:19-24 (NIV) "Has not Moses given you the law? Yet not one of you keeps the law. Why are you trying to kill me?" "You are demon-possessed," the crowd answered. "Who is trying to kill you?" Jesus said to them, "I did one miracle, and you are all astonished. Yet, because Moses gave you circumcision (though actually it did not come from Moses, but from the patriarchs), you circumcise a child on the Sabbath. Now if a child can be circumcised on the Sabbath so that the law of Moses may not be broken, why are you angry with me for healing the whole man on the Sabbath? Stop judging by mere appearances, and make a right judgment."
It is not through YOUR obedience to spiritual laws that YOU are saved, as the law can never give YOU spiritual life. YOUR compliance with spiritual laws do not guarantee YOU communion with God, any more than YOUR compliance with health laws guarantee YOU good health, or YOUR compliance with financial laws will make YOU rich. However, YOUR violation of health laws will guarantee ruining YOUR health just as YOUR violation of financial laws will ruin YOU financially, and YOUR violation of spiritual laws will ruin YOU spiritually.
Galatians 2:15-16 (NIV) "We who are Jews by birth and not 'Gentile sinners' 16 know that a man is not justified by observing the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by observing the law, because by observing the law no one will be justified.
Galatians 2:21-3:14 (NIV) I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!" 3:1 You foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you? Before your very eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed as crucified. 2 I would like to learn just one thing from you: Did you receive the Spirit by observing the law, or by believing what you heard? 3 Are you so foolish? After beginning with the Spirit, are you now trying to attain your goal by human effort? 4 Have you suffered so much for nothing--if it really was for nothing? 5 Does God give you his Spirit and work miracles among you because you observe the law, or because you believe what you heard? 6 Consider Abraham: "He believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness." 7 Understand, then, that those who believe are children of Abraham. 8 The Scripture foresaw that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, and announced the gospel in advance to Abraham: "All nations will be blessed through you." 9 So those who have faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith. 10 All who rely on observing the law are under a curse, for it is written: "Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law." 11 Clearly no one is justified before God by the law, because, "The righteous will live by faith." 12 The law is not based on faith; on the contrary, "The man who does these things will live by them." 13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: "Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree." 14 He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.
YOUR obedience to the law is required, but it does not, and cannot save YOU. Only YOUR faith in Jesus Christ can save YOU. However, YOUR faith in Jesus Christ does allow YOU to fully obey God's Law.
Romans 1:5 (NIV) Through him and for his name's sake, we received grace and apostleship to call people from among all the Gentiles to the obedience that comes from faith.
Romans 1:17 (NIV) For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: "The righteous will live by faith."
Romans 2:13-15 (NIV) For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in God's sight, but it is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous. 14 (Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature things required by the law, they are a law for themselves, even though they do not have the law, 15 since they show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts now accusing, now even defending them.)
Romans 3:21-31 (NIV) But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. 22 This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. 27 Where, then, is boasting? It is excluded. On what principle? On that of observing the law? No, but on that of faith. 28 For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from observing the law. 29 Is God the God of Jews only? Is he not the God of Gentiles too? Yes, of Gentiles too, 30 since there is only one God, who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through that same faith. 31 Do we, then, nullify the law by this faith? Not at all! Rather, we uphold the law.
Romans 10:4 (NIV) Christ is the end of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.
Romans 11:6-7 (NIV) And if by grace, then it is no longer by works; if it were, grace would no longer be grace. 7 What then? What Israel sought so earnestly it did not obtain, but the elect did. The others were hardened,
Acts 13:39 Through him everyone who believes is justified from everything you could not be justified from by the law of Moses.
The Apostle Paul complied with God's Law.
Acts 23:3-5 (NIV) Then Paul said to him, "God will strike you, you whitewashed wall! You sit there to judge me according to the law, yet you yourself violate the law by commanding that I be struck!" 4 Those who were standing near Paul said, "You dare to insult God's high priest?" 5 Paul replied, "Brothers, I did not realize that he was the high priest; for it is written: 'Do not speak evil about the ruler of your people.'"
YOU must not add to God's Law as Eve did, referenced in Genesis 3:3 printed below. God did not say, "you must not touch it."
Genesis 2:16-17 (NIV) And the LORD God commanded the man, "You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; 17 but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die."
Genesis 3:3 (NIV) but God did say, 'You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.'"
The Jewish Midrash articulates that after Eve added, "you must not touch it", to God's Law, and then touched the fruit in violation of her addition to God's Law and sustained no penalty; Eve was then emboldened to eat the fruit in violation of God's Law. Like Eve, the Jewish people added to what God said through their oral tradition known as the "Mishna." When people disprove, disbelieve or violate what the Mishna says, they are then emboldened to violate what God has said in God's Holy Word.
YOU must not take away from God's Law.
Revelation 22:18-19 (NIV) I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. 19 And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.
God's Law is superior to man's law. Yet YOU are even directed by God to obey man's laws unless they conflict with God's Law. YOU will pay a penalty if YOU are caught violating man's laws. God directed YOU to comply if possible with man's laws so that YOU do not have to pay that penalty.
Romans 13:1-10 (NIV) Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. 2 Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. 3 For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and he will commend you. 4 For he is God's servant to do you good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword for nothing. He is God's servant, an agent of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. 5 Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also because of conscience. 6 This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God's servants, who give their full time to governing. 7 Give everyone what you owe him: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor. 8 Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for he who loves his fellowman has fulfilled the law. 9 The commandments, "Do not commit adultery," "Do not murder," "Do not steal," "Do not covet," and whatever other commandment there may be, are summed up in this one rule: "Love your neighbor as yourself." 10 Love does no harm to its neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
righteous: adj [alter. of earlier rightuous, alter. of ME rightwise, rightwos, fr. OE rihtwis, fr. riht, n., right + wis wise] (1535) 1 : acting in accord with divine or moral law: free from guilt or sin 2 a: morally right or justifiable <a ~decision> b: arising from an outraged sense of justice or morality <~ indignation> 3 slang: GENUINE, GOOD syn see MORAL - righ-teous-ly adv - righ-teous-ness n - Merriam Webster's Collegiate Dictionary Tenth Edition
Righteousness is the state of being righteous. Levels of righteousness are based on levels of the law. The Pharisees and the teachers of the law had a level of righteousness.
Matthew 5:20 (NIV) "For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven."
The stated laws of the Old Testament are embryonic. The Pharisees and the teachers of the law were in partial compliance with the "Intuitive, Noahatic and Mosaic Law", but they were not in compliance with the "Law of Love" referenced in Matthew 22:37-40 printed below.
Matthew 22:37-40 (NIV) Jesus replied: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."
The Law of Love referenced in Matthew 22:37-40 was contained in all of the previous forms of God's Law, but at the time that God's Law was initially given, man was in spiritual darkness, and unable to clearly see the Law of Love.
Deuteronomy 6:5 (NIV) "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength."
Leviticus 19:18 (NIV) "'Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against one of your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord."
Jesus Christ did not eliminate the Law. Jesus Christ is the Great Light that completely ILLUMINATES the Law of Love.
illuminate vt -nat-ed; -nat-ing [ME, fr. L illuminatus, pp. of illuminare, fr. in-+ luminaire to light up, fr. lumin-, lumen light- more at LUMINARY] (15c) 1 a: to enlighten spiritually or intellectually b (1): to supply or brighten with light (2): to make luminous or shining c archaic: to set alight d: to subject to radiation 2: to make clear: ELUCIDATE 3: to make illustrious or resplendent 4: to decorate (as a manuscript) with gold or silver or brilliant colors or with often elaborate designs or miniature pictures - il-lu-mi-nat-ing-ly adv - il-lu-mi- na-tor n - Merriam Webster's Collegiate Dictionary Tenth Edition
Matthew 4:12-16 (NIV) When Jesus heard that John had been put in prison, he returned to Galilee. Leaving Nazareth, he went and lived in Capernaum, which was by the lake in the area of Zebulun and Naphtali--to fulfill what was said through the prophet Isaiah: "Land of Zebulun and land of Naphtali, the way to the sea, along the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles--the people living in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned."
Luke 2:27-33 (NIV) Moved by the Spirit, he went into the temple courts. When the parents brought in the child Jesus to do for him what the custom of the Law required, Simeon took him in his arms and praised God, saying: "Sovereign Lord, as you have promised, you now dismiss your servant in peace. For my eyes have seen your salvation, which you have prepared in the sight of all people, a light for revelation to the Gentiles and for glory to your people Israel." The child's father and mother marveled at what was said about him.
John 1:1-9 (NIV) In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it. There came a man who was sent from God; his name was John. He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all men might believe. He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light. The true light that gives light to every man was coming into the world.
John 3:19-21 (NIV) "This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God."
John 8:12 (NIV) When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."
John 9:5 (NIV) "While I am in the world, I am the light of the world."
John 12:46 (NIV) "I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in me should stay in darkness."
Acts 26:13-23 (NIV) "About noon, O king, as I was on the road, I saw a light from heaven, brighter than the sun, blazing around me and my companions. We all fell to the ground, and I heard a voice saying to me in Aramaic, 'Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me? It is hard for you to kick against the goads.' "Then I asked, 'Who are you, Lord?' " 'I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,' the Lord replied. 'Now get up and stand on your feet. I have appeared to you to appoint you as a servant and as a witness of what you have seen of me and what I will show you. I will rescue you from your own people and from the Gentiles. I am sending you to them to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.' "So then, King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the vision from heaven. First to those in Damascus, then to those in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and to the Gentiles also, I preached that they should repent and turn to God and prove their repentance by their deeds. That is why the Jews seized me in the temple courts and tried to kill me. But I have had God's help to this very day, and so I stand here and testify to small and great alike. I am saying nothing beyond what the prophets and Moses said would happen--that the Christ would suffer and, as the first to rise from the dead, would proclaim light to his own people and to the Gentiles."
2 Corinthians 4:3-6 (NIV) And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. For we do not preach ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake. For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.
Ephesians 5:13-14 (NIV) But everything exposed by the light becomes visible, for it is light that makes everything visible. This is why it is said: "Wake up, O sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you."
2 Timothy 1:8-10 (NIV) So do not be ashamed to testify about our Lord, or ashamed of me his prisoner. But join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God, who has saved us and called us to a holy life--not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time, but it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus, who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.
1 John 1:5-7 (NIV) This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.
1 John 2:8-10 (NIV) Dear friends, I am not writing you a new command but an old one, which you have had since the beginning. This old command is the message you have heard. Yet I am writing you a new command; its truth is seen in him and you, because the darkness is passing and the true light is already shining. Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates his brother is still in the darkness. Whoever loves his brother lives in the light, and there is nothing in him to make him stumble. But whoever hates his brother is in the darkness and walks around in the darkness; he does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded him.
When Jesus Christ articulated the Law of Love referenced in Matthew 22:37-40, Jesus Christ illuminated all previous forms of God's Law. For YOU to love God, love YOUR fellowman, and love YOURSELF covers all of God's spiritual laws.
Jesus Christ illuminated the law on murder to reach Matthew 22:37-40:
Matthew 5:21-22 (NIV) "You have heard that it was said to the people long ago, 'Do not murder, and anyone who murders will be subject to judgment.' 22 But I tell you that anyone who is angry with his brother will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to his brother, 'Raca, ' is answerable to the Sanhedrin. But anyone who says, 'You fool!' will be in danger of the fire of hell."
Jesus Christ illuminated the law on adultery to reach Matthew 22:37-40:
Matthew 5:27-28 (NIV) "You have heard that it was said, 'Do not commit adultery.' 28 But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart."
Jesus Christ illuminated the law on divorce to reach Matthew 22:37-40:
Matthew 5:31-32 (NIV) "It has been said, 'Anyone who divorces his wife must give her a certificate of divorce.' 32 But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, causes her to become an adulteress, and anyone who marries the divorced woman commits adultery."
The Substitution-Sacrifice law that effected the temporary atonement brought about by the blood of bulls, sheep, and goats; was fulfilled in the permanent atonement brought about by the Substitution-Sacrifice of the perfect man Jesus Christ.
The Mosaic Law directed ten percent tithing on specific occasions. In Matthew 22:37-40, Jesus Christ illuminated the fact that God requires God's "Born Again" Children to love God with ALL of themselves, which includes ALL of their assets. A husband/father who completely loves his wife/family will bring all of his wages home to be used for the good of the entire family. Because of his love, the loving husband/father does not even consider that his wages personally belong to him. Because of the husband/father's love for his family, the total money that he earns belongs to his family. Other men who do not completely love their family, may get their wages and then take a portion of the family money to hire a prostitute in order to purchase a poor substitute for "love". The prostitute may say "I love you," but both participants know that she is only there for the money. There are many people who do not love God enough to give God ALL of themselves, and thereby comply with the Law of Love referenced in Matthew 22:37-40; so they retreat to the Mosaic Law, and hire a prostitute with their "tithes" to purchase them a poor substitute for God's love. These people give God their money, because they do not want to give God ALL of themselves.
Hosea 6:6 (NIV) For I desire mercy, not sacrifice, and acknowledgment of God rather than burnt offerings.
1 Samuel 15:22-23a (NIV) But Samuel replied: "Does the Lord delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the voice of the Lord? To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams. For rebellion is like the sin of divination, and arrogance like the evil of idolatry."
Do not be so ignorant, as to be coerced and deceived into believing that a ten percent "tithe" contribution to a godless whore that calls herself a church will satisfy the law of Matthew 22:37-40. This spiritual whore may also say, "I love you," but like the sexual whore, she is only there for the money. How do YOU think the Laodicean Church, that made Jesus Christ want to vomit, acquired the wealth that they focused on, and bragged about?
Revelation 3: 14-19 (NIV) "To the angel of the church in Laodicea write: These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the ruler of God's creation. I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm--neither hot nor cold--I am about to spit you out of my mouth. You say, 'I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.' But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked. I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see. Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest, and repent."
At the time of the first Coming of Jesus Christ, most of the Jewish people had fallen into a worship of Judeo-Organized Religion instead of the worship of God. The worship of Judeo-Organized Religion by the Jewish people continues to this day. Today, most of the people in Judeo-Christian Organized Religion who worship at all, have fallen into a worship of Judeo-Christian Organized religion, instead of the worship of God.
Isaiah 29:13 (NIV) The Lord says: "These people come near to me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Their worship of me is made up only of rules taught by men."
Love God enough to give God ALL of YOURSELF. God's money that God has entrusted to YOU is only relevant to YOUR salvation if YOU are not allowing God the ownership of it. If the Holy Spirit of God tells YOU to use PART, or ALL of God's money to support a poor widow woman, someone in need, or a church, then do it. If the Holy Spirit of God does not tell YOU to use God's money for anything specific, then use God's money to take care of YOUR personal responsibilities as a good steward should, and save God's money until the Holy Spirit of God does tell YOU what to specifically do with God's money. Because YOU are now under grace, do not allow some sycophantic, charlatan clergy to use his interpretation of the Mosaic Law, in order to parasitically dictate to YOU, what YOU must do with YOUR Father's money. Always keep YOURSELF where all of YOU belongs entirely to God, including ALL of the money that God has entrusted to YOU.
(Someone might ask, "How can the church continue to function in an orderly fashion without the admonition of the giving of a tithe?" - If the pastor will, "correct, rebuke, and encourage" the people "with great patience and careful instruction" - 2 Timothy 4:2 into Holiness, the Holy Spirit of God will then be able to individually direct the "Born Again" Children of God as God determines, concerning every aspect of the church, including the church funding. If the pastor is not a Holy person, the pastor cannot guide the people into Holiness. The social organization that an unholy pastor is guiding warrants no funding with God's money. Some pastor might ask, "How can I maintain this unholy social organization while I guide the people into Holiness?" - Pastor, first become Holy YOURSELF. If YOU would ask me that question, it is because YOU do not have a relationship with God, because if YOU did have a relationship with God, YOU would ask God that question.)
Matthew 23:15 (NIV) "Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You travel over land and sea to win a single convert, and when he becomes one, you make him twice as much a son of hell as you are."
The Mosaic Law directed that the seventh day of every week was to be a Sabbath Day, and was to be consumed with rest. The Sabbath rest was to be consumed by a maximum focus on God, with only the minimum focus on physical responsibilities that was necessary, in order to maintain a structured life.
Exodus 20:8-11 (NIV) "Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your manservant or maidservant, nor your animals, nor the alien within your gates. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy."
The Sabbath was given as a benefit to man, for man's rest.
Mark 2:27 (NIV) Then he said to them, "The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath."
The Mosaic Law of a one-day-per-week Sabbath-rest was a fore-glimpse of the Sabbath-rest that God wants everyone to live their entire lives in. The Sabbath-day's rest was illuminated by Jesus Christ in Matthew 22:37-40 to reveal a lifetime of Sabbath rest in God, every-day-of-the-week.
Matthew 11:28-30 (NIV) "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."
Hebrews 3:7-4:11 printed below reveals a Sabbath-rest that is available through obedience to God, for the "Born Again" Children of God to live their lives in, every day of the week. Through faith in Jesus Christ, rest is available in the Holy Spirit of God, that enables people to live with sanctity and worship throughout their lives, irrespective of the circumstances that they find themselves in. I pray that YOU will find God and enter that rest. That Sabbath rest will be found by being consumed with a maximum focus on God, with only the minimum focus on physical responsibilities that are necessary, in order to maintain a structured life.
Hebrews 3:7-4:11 (NIV) So, as the Holy Spirit says: "Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion, during the time of testing in the desert, where your fathers tested and tried me and for forty years saw what I did. That is why I was angry with that generation, and I said, 'Their hearts are always going astray, and they have not known my ways.' So I declared on oath in my anger, 'They shall never enter my rest.' " See to it, brothers, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God. But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin's deceitfulness. We have come to share in Christ if we hold firmly till the end the confidence we had at first. As has just been said: "Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion." Who were they who heard and rebelled? Were they not all those Moses led out of Egypt? And with whom was he angry for forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose bodies fell in the desert? And to whom did God swear that they would never enter his rest if not to those who disobeyed? So we see that they were not able to enter, because of their unbelief. Therefore, since the promise of entering his rest still stands, let us be careful that none of you be found to have fallen short of it. For we also have had the gospel preached to us, just as they did; but the message they heard was of no value to them, because those who heard did not combine it with faith. Now we who have believed enter that rest, just as God has said, "So I declared on oath in my anger, 'They shall never enter my rest.' " And yet his work has been finished since the creation of the world. For somewhere he has spoken about the seventh day in these words: "And on the seventh day God rested from all his work." And again in the passage above he says, "They shall never enter my rest." It still remains that some will enter that rest, and those who formerly had the gospel preached to them did not go in, because of their disobedience. Therefore God again set a certain day, calling it Today, when a long time later he spoke through David, as was said before: "Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts." For if Joshua had given them rest, God would not have spoken later about another day. There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God's rest also rests from his own work, just as God did from his. Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall by following their example of disobedience.
Colossians 2:16-17, and Romans 14:5-6 printed below, confirm the fact that the "shadow" of a one-day-per-week Sabbath-rest was illuminated by Jesus Christ.
Colossians 2:16-17 (NIV) Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ.
Romans 14:5-6 (NIV) One man considers one day more sacred than another; another man considers every day alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind. 6 He who regards one day as special, does so to the Lord. He who eats meat, eats to the Lord, for he gives thanks to God; and he who abstains, does so to the Lord and gives thanks to God.
The Mosaic Law directed against false testimony:
Exodus 20:16 (NIV) "You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor."
False testimony is communicating information that is untrue. How much communication is "hear-say" passed from one non-observing person to another? Communication of an untruth is false testimony even if you believe it to be true, not having seen it for yourself.
“Tale-bearers are as bad as the tale-makers.” - Richard Brinsley Sheridan 1751-1816
When YOU have gained information through personal knowledge, what is the intent of YOUR heart in passing that information about someone else?
"A truth thats told with bad intent Beats all the lies you can invent." - William Blake 1757-1827
If the testimony is true, in passing that information, does the intent of YOUR heart comply with the Law of Love referenced in Matthew 22:37-40? How many unwise virgins are unable to be filled with the Holy Spirit of God, and will consequently be sent to Hell because of gossip?
Matthew 12:36-37 (NIV) "But I tell you that men will have to give account on the day of judgment for every careless word they have spoken. 37 For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned."
James 3:5-8 (NIV) Likewise the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole person, sets the whole course of his life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell. All kinds of animals, birds, reptiles and creatures of the sea are being tamed and have been tamed by man, but no man can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.
It is easy to understand the direction of Jesus Christ when He said:
Matthew 5:37 (NIV) "Simply let your 'Yes' be 'Yes,' and your 'No,' 'No'; anything beyond this comes from the evil one."
The Righteousness of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law referenced in Matthew 5:20 printed below was an attempt on their part to comply with the Levitical Law given by Moses.
Matthew 5:20 (NIV) "For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven."
The Righteousness required by the Law of Love referenced in Matthew 22:37-40 far surpasses the Righteousness required by the Mosaic Law.
Matthew 22:37-40 (NIV) Jesus replied: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."
I will restate that because every physical descendant of Adam was born with the same sinful spirit as their spiritual father, the devil; God gave mankind the law, in order to prove to every physical descendant of Adam that they have the same lawless spirit as their spiritual father, the devil. When YOU cannot comply with the Law of Love that God gave YOU referenced in Matthew 22:37-40, even when YOU want to comply with the Law of Love, then YOU are forced to recognize, and YOU cannot refute the fact that YOU have the same lawless spirit as YOUR spiritual father, the devil.
Romans 3:20 (NIV) Therefore no one will be declared righteous in his sight by observing the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of sin.
1 John 2:3-4 (NIV) We know that we have come to know him if we obey his commands. 4 The man who says, "I know him," but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
The Holy Spirit of God cannot dwell in a person who also has the spirit of the devil in them. YOU may have either the Holy Spirit of God, or YOU may have the same sinful spirit that the devil has. YOU cannot have both the Holy Spirit of God while YOU simultaneously have the same sinful spirit that the devil has!
1 Corinthians 10:21 (NIV) You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons too; you cannot have a part in both the Lord's table and the table of demons.
Matthew 6:24 (NIV) "No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money."
2 Corinthians 6:14-7:1 (NIV) Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? What harmony is there between Christ and Belial? What does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: "I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people." "Therefore come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you." "I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty." Since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.
Mark 3:23-26 (NIV) So Jesus called them and spoke to them in parables: "How can Satan drive out Satan? If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand. And if Satan opposes himself and is divided, he cannot stand; his end has come."
In recognizing YOUR human limitations, the mercy of God will allow YOU the time that is necessary for YOU to seek and understand what God's perfect-will is for YOUR life.
Psalms 103:13-14 (NIV) As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him; 14 for he knows how we are formed, he remembers that we are dust.
Once however, YOU realize and understand what God's perfect-will is for YOUR life, YOU must comply with God's perfect-will or YOU will be back in a state of lawlessness.
If YOU become filled with the Holy Spirit of God, when YOU are tempted, if YOU decide in YOUR spirit that YOU will have YOUR will over God's perfect-will; then YOU rebel in YOUR spirit against God by committing sin, YOU will instantly be back in a state of lawlessness. One disobedient decision, even prior to the act of sin, will restore YOU to a state of lawlessness. YOU will be committing spiritual suicide. YOU will thereby instantly twist YOUR spirit back into the same sinful spirit that the devil has, and the Holy Spirit of God will be gone from YOU instantly.
Jesus Christ was the first from the dead and was able to conquer death because Jesus Christ had no sin. Sin is lawlessness (1 John 3:4 NIV).
Acts 2:24 But God raised him from the dead, freeing him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him.
YOU have sinned.
Romans 3:23 (NIV) for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
Sin will give death a handle on YOU so that death will hold YOU. If the Blood of Jesus Christ does not cover YOUR sin, death can and will hold YOU in Hell. Through faith in the Blood of Jesus Christ, YOU must live without sin so that when YOU die, YOU may also conquer death.
YOUR compliance with God's Law will lead YOU to Holiness.
Romans 6:19 (NIV) I put this in human terms because you are weak in your natural selves. Just as you used to offer the parts of your body in slavery to impurity and to ever-increasing wickedness, so now offer them in slavery to righteousness leading to holiness.
YOUR Holiness will enable YOU to see God.
Hebrews 12:14 (NIV) Make every effort to live in peace with all men and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.
What YOU have been taught, and what YOU believe, is only significant if it aligns with the Holy Word of God.
Proverbs 14:15 (NIV) A simple man believes anything, but a prudent man gives thought to his steps.
The Holy Word of God is perfectly consistent throughout. In any case where something in the Holy Word of God appears to be inconsistent, it is due to a deficiency on the part of YOUR understanding. What God says in His Holy Word, God has said consistently throughout eternity and time. God has responded to sin in a consistent and constant manner throughout eternity and time.
2 Peter 3:17 (NIV) Therefore, dear friends, since you already know this, be on your guard so that you may not be carried away by the error of lawless men and fall from your secure position.
God has given YOU a free-will that allows YOU the option to choose to worship God, or to choose to commit sin. Because God has given YOU a free-will, YOU are allowed to commit sin. If God removed the option for YOU to commit sin, YOU would no longer be able to commit sin, and consequently YOU would not have a free-will. If God did not allow YOU to commit sin, God would have effectively removed YOUR free-will.
In order to maintain YOUR free-will, God perfectly balances the spiritual influence on YOUR free-will. God does not "stack the deck" in order to get YOU to worship Him; and God does not "put His thumb on the scale of influence" in order to manipulate YOUR free-will choice toward God. In the perfect order of God, God perfectly balances the scales of influence on YOUR free-will choice.
FOR EVERY SPIRITUAL TRUTH, THERE IS AN EQUIVALENT SPIRITUAL DELUSION!
The more clear and articulate the spiritual truth, the more powerful the equivalent spiritual delusion!
God has given YOU the Truth in the form of God's Holy Word in order to teach YOU how to worship God and live a Holy life. Because God has given YOU the Truth, God allows Satan to tell YOU any possible lie whatsoever, in order for God to perfectly balance the scales of influence on YOUR free-will choice. Satan attempts to deceive YOU; and thereby to get YOU to sin, because Satan knows that if Satan can get YOU to sin, the sin will destroy YOU.
God does not shield YOU from any of the lies of Satan, because God has provided YOU with the perfect protection against all of Satan's lies. The perfect and only protection against any and all of the lies of Satan is the Holy Word of God. In giving YOU the Holy Word of God, and also allowing Satan to lie to YOU, God has perfectly balanced God's scales of influence on YOU, thereby allowing YOU to exercise YOUR FAITH, and YOUR free-will. This equilibrium balances the influences on YOUR free-will, thereby continuing to give YOU the choice to have faith in God, or to commit sin. In maintaining a perfect balance on YOUR free-will, God is setting before YOU, "life and death, blessings and curses".
Deuteronomy 30:11-20 (NIV) Now what I am commanding you today is not too difficult for you or beyond your reach. It is not up in heaven, so that you have to ask, "Who will ascend into heaven to get it and proclaim it to us so we may obey it?" Nor is it beyond the sea, so that you have to ask, "Who will cross the sea to get it and proclaim it to us so we may obey it?" No, the word is very near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart so you may obey it. See, I set before you today life and prosperity, death and destruction. For I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commands, decrees and laws; then you will live and increase, and the Lord your God will bless you in the land you are entering to possess. But if your heart turns away and you are not obedient, and if you are drawn away to bow down to other gods and worship them, I declare to you this day that you will certainly be destroyed. You will not live long in the land you are crossing the Jordan to enter and possess. This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live and that you may love the Lord your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the Lord is your life, and he will give you many years in the land he swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
Jesus Christ is the Holy Word of God (John 1:1) The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us (John 1:14). Jesus Christ ministered on earth from the age of thirty (Luke 3:23a), until Jesus Christ's Crucifixion at the age of thirty three. Jesus Christ ministered to lost mankind on earth for a period of three and one-half years. Jesus Christ came to show the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6) to lost mankind, for a period of three and one-half years. In order to perfectly balance God's scales of influence on man, during the "Great Tribulation" God is going to give authority to the devil for an identical period of three and one half-years. During the "Great Tribulation", the devil will use the devil's authority to, "steal, kill, and destroy" - John 10:10. During the "Great Tribulation", God is going to permit the devil to possess the Antichrist; and God is going to give the devil authority over the earth to bring death to mankind, for the exact same three and one-half year amount of time, that God gave Jesus Christ to bring life to mankind (John 10:10). In setting before man, "life and death, blessings and curses" - Deuteronomy 30:11-20, God has perfectly balanced the scales of influence on man, thereby giving man a completely unbiased, free-will choice.
Within YOUR free-will choice, if YOU elect to become a "Born Again" Child of God, the Holy Spirit of God will guide YOU through the deception, and into the truth.
John 16:13 (NIV) "But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come."
Within YOUR free-will choice, if YOU elect to continue sinning, YOU will by default remain a spiritual child of the devil.
John 8:44 (NIV) "You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies."
If YOU are a spiritual child of the devil, YOU will not accept, and YOU will not be able to understand the guidance of the Holy Spirit of God.
1 Corinthians 2:14 (NIV) The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.
If YOU delight in YOUR wickedness, and therefore elect to continue in YOUR sin, the devil will lie to YOU about the truth, deceive YOU about the truth, and guide YOU around the truth into a powerful and damning delusion!
2 Thessalonians 2:9-12 (NIV) The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders, and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.
In addition to deceiving Eve, and most of mankind since man's creation, some of the devil's lies are the same old lies with which the devil specifically deceived the Jewish people, two thousand years ago. In the sixteenth century, these devil's lies were resubmitted through the teaching of John Calvin, and are now delineated in an acronym, known as the five points of "TULIP Calvinism". The devil has arranged the five lies of "TULIP Calvinism" and presented them as a beautiful, fragrant, garnished floral bouquet. The brilliant light of the Holy Word of God, exposes very clearly that the five lies of "TULIP Calvinism" are in stark reality, a malformed, rancid, goat-headed pentagram!
The devil has designed various lies to damn specific people, and incorporated those lies into diverse religions, including: Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism, Baha'i, Jainism, Shinto, Zoroastrianism, Tenrikyo, Unitarian-Universalism, Rastafarianism, Scientology, and others. One of the lies put forth in "TULIP Calvinism" is actually the devil's oldest known and recorded lie. That lie was camouflaged, synergized with other lies, and re-marketed in the sixteenth century, with the express design purpose being, to deceive and damn evangelical Christians. The planned function of "TULIP Calvinism" was to, "snatch evangelical Christians from the gates of Heaven, and condemn them to eternity in Hell." "TULIP Calvinism" has proven to be one of the devil's most successful designs, in that "TULIP Calvinism" has deceived and damned millions of unfortunate victims.
2 Corinthians 11:14-15 (NIV) And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.
The pentagram of lies also known as "TULIP Calvinism" are:
1. Total Depravity (Which is also known as Total Inability and Original Sin.) - Man is physically born with the same totally depraved spirit as the devil. (Man IS born with the same sinful spirit as the devil; but the devil has extended, and twisted that truth into a lie that robs YOU of YOUR free-will). That devil's lie is that because man is born with the same totally depraved spirit as the devil, man with his totally depraved spirit could never choose to worship God. Consequently, according to that lie, man does not have a free-will to choose to worship God, or to choose to commit sin. Therefore, according to that lie, every individual human is personally predestined by God to worship God, and consequently to be rewarded with eternal life in Heaven; or they are personally predestined by God to commit sin, and consequently to be condemned by God to eternal life in Hell.
2. Unconditional election - That lie of the devil is that God chooses whom God will love without any regard for that individuals free-will.
3. Limited Atonement (Which is also known as Particular Atonement.) - That lie of the devil is that Jesus Christ died only for those people that God had already individually predestined to worship God.
4. Irresistible Grace - That lie of the devil is that God forces those people to worship God, whom God has already individually predestined to worship God.
5. Perseverance of the Saints - That lie of the devil is that "Once YOU are in the family of God, YOU will always be in the family of God", or "Once YOU are saved, YOU will always be saved." That lie of the devil is that YOU cannot lose YOUR eternal life.
"Such blasphemy this, as one would think might make the ears of a Christian to tingle! But there is yet more behind; for just as it honours the Son, so doth this doctrine honour the Father. It destroys all his attributes at once: It overturns both his justice, mercy, and truth; yea, it represents the most holy God as worse than the devil, as both more false, more cruel, and more unjust. More false; because the devil, liar as he is, hath never said, "He willeth all men to be saved:" More unjust; because the devil cannot, if he would, be guilty of such injustice as you ascribe to God, when you say that God condemned millions of souls to everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels, for continuing in sin, which, for want of that grace he will not give them, they cannot avoid: And more cruel; because that unhappy spirit "seeketh rest and findeth none;" so that his own restless misery is a kind of temptation to him to tempt others. But God resteth in his high and holy place; so that to suppose him, of his own mere motion, of his pure will and pleasure, happy as he is, to doom his creatures, whether they will or no, to endless misery, is to impute such cruelty to him as we cannot impute even to the great enemy of God and man. It is to represent the most high God (he that hath ears to hear let him hear!) as more cruel, false, and unjust than the devil! 26. This is the blasphemy clearly contained in the horrible decree of predestination!" - John Wesley 1703 - 1791, founder of what is now the international Methodist Church
In addressing the pentagram of lies from the devil known as "TULIP Calvinism", YOU must understand the differences in; physical life and physical death, and spiritual life and spiritual death.
physical life - when YOU were conceived
Psalms 139:13-16 (NIV) For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. 14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. 15 My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, 16 your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.
physical death - when YOU will physically die
Hebrews 9:27 (NIV) Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment,
spiritual, eternal life - Spiritual life is to KNOW God in the Biblical sense of the word; KNOW.
Genesis 4:1 (NIV) And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD.
To KNOW God, is to have spiritual intercourse with the Holy Spirit of God, through faith in Jesus Christ.
John 17:20-25 (NIV) "My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one: I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me. "Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world. "Righteous Father, though the world does not know you, I know you, and they know that you have sent me. I have made you known to them, and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them."
John 17:2,3 (NIV) "For you granted him authority over all people that he might give eternal life to all those you have given him. Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent."
John 3:36 ( NIV) "Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God's wrath remains on him."
John 14:6 (NIV) Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
1 John 5:11-12 (NIV) And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.
In accordance with John 3:36, John 14:6, and 1 John 5:11-12 printed above, if YOU have Jesus Christ, the Son; YOU have eternal life. If YOU do not have Jesus Christ, the Son; YOU do not have eternal life.
spiritual, eternal death - Spiritual death is to NOT KNOW God in the Biblical sense of the word.
Matthew 7:22-23 (NIV) "Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'
John 16:1-3 (NIV) "All this I have told you so that you will not go astray. They will put you out of the synagogue; in fact, a time is coming when anyone who kills you will think he is offering a service to God. They will do such things because they have not known the Father or me."
Spiritual death is spiritual separation from God. It is the death Adam incurred the day he sinned and was cast out of the Garden of Eden. When YOU were born physically, YOU were born "spiritually dead," because of the sin of YOUR physical father Adam.
Genesis 2:16-17 (NIV) And the Lord God commanded the man, "You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die."
Revelation 20: 11-15 (NIV) Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. Earth and sky fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what he had done. Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.
In the devil's typical method of operation, in order for the devil to speak a more deceptive and deadly lie, the devil took a portion of truth and twisted that truth into the devil's lie to make the devil's lie more believable. The devil deceived John Calvin into building his theology strongly emphasizing the sovereignty of God. Who could discount God's sovereignty? If God exists, then God is by definition God. If God is God, then by God's existence, God is sovereign. If God is not sovereign, then God is not God by definition, and cannot be God. Even the demons recognize the existence, and consequent sovereignty of God.
James 2:19 (NIV) You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that--and shudder.
The sovereignty of God is a truth that no intelligent person will dispute. Only a fool would dispute the existence, and consequent sovereignty of God.
Psalm 14:1a (NIV) The fool says in his heart, "There is no God."
As God is sovereign, can we credit or blame God's sovereign-will for everything that exists, or occurs? To answer that question accurately, YOU must analyze and understand the difference in God's perfect-will, and God's permissive-will. God's perfect-will is what God desires to happen. God's permissive-will is what God permits to happen during the Seven Thousand Years of Measured Time that is not within God's perfect-will. In God's perfect-will, God does not want anyone to spiritually die.
Ezekiel 18:32 (NIV) For I take no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Sovereign Lord. Repent and live!
We can know in Ezekiel 18:32 printed above, that God is talking about spiritual death, as God admonishes everyone to, "Repent and live." Repentance will not keep YOU from the natural order of physical death, but repentance is necessary in order for YOU to attain spiritual life.
2 Peter 3:9 (NIV) The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
Everyone does not repent in accordance with God's perfect-will referenced in Ezekiel 18:32 printed above, and everyone does not come to repentance in accordance with God's perfect-will referenced in 2 Peter 3:9 printed above. Most people refuse to come to God through faith in Jesus Christ, as referenced in John 5:40 printed below, so we know that everything that occurs does not occur within God's perfect-will.
John 5:40 (NIV) "You diligently study the Scriptures because you think that by them you possess eternal life. These are the Scriptures that testify about me, yet you refuse to come to me to have life."
In God's perfect-will, through grace (grace is unmerited favor), God has given every person the free-will to choose to worship God, or to choose to commit sin. In God's permissive-will, God has allowed people to commit sin. God permits the horrific sin of Roman Catholic Priests raping little boys, just as God permits the horrific sin of abortion, because if God completely stopped those horrible sins, in God's perfect consistency, God would stop all individual sin. If God stopped all individual sin, no man could sin. If man could not sin, man would not have a free-will to choose to sin, or through faith in Jesus Christ, to choose to not sin. If man was not given a free-will to choose to sin, then man would also not have been given a free-will that allowed man through faith in Jesus Christ to choose to worship God. Man does have a free-will that allows man through faith in Jesus Christ to choose to worship God, or to choose to commit sin, as implied in John 5:40 printed above, and Matthew 23:37, and John 7:17, printed below.
Matthew 23:37 (NIV) "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing."
John 7:17 (NIV) "If anyone chooses to do God's will, he will find out whether my teaching comes from God or whether I speak on my own."
YOU must judge the pentagram of "TULIP Calvinism" by the Holy Word of God, in order to expose the pentagram of "TULIP Calvinism" as the five lies of the devil that they are.
"Thus manifestly does this doctrine tend to overthrow the whole Christian Revelation, by making it contradict itself; by giving such an interpretation of some texts, as flatly contradicts all the other texts, and indeed the whole scope and tenor of Scripture; - an abundant proof that it is not of God. But neither is this all: For, Seventhly, it is a doctrine full of blasphemy; of such blasphemy as I should dread to mention, but that the honour of our gracious God, and the cause of his truth, will not suffer me to be silent." - John Wesley 1703 - 1791, founder of what is now the international Methodist Church
"Of all blasphemies which can be uttered against God, the most grievous is that by which He is set down as the author of sin; the weight of which imputation is no little aggravated, if it be added that God is on that account the author of sin committed by the creature, in order that He might damn and lead away the creature into eternal destruction, which He had already beforehand destined for him without reference to sin: for so "he would have been the cause of unrighteousness in man, that He might inflict eternal misery upon him." No one will impute such a blasphemy to God, whom everyone conceives of as good... It cannot be imputed to any of the Doctors of the Reformed Churches, that they "professedly set up God as the author of sin."... yet "it may be that anyone may, from ignorance, teach something from which it may, by fair consequence, be deducted that God is by that doctrine set down as the author of sin." If this be the case, then ...[the Doctors] must be admonished to desert and cast away that doctrine from which the fair inference is drawn." - James Arminius 1560-1609 A. D.
The devil would have YOU believe through the teaching of John Calvin, that YOUR individual eternal destiny was predestined by God before time began. That lie of the devil is that YOU cannot in any way control where YOU will spend eternity. That lie of the devil is that after life, YOU are brought before God's justice bar, and sent to eternal punishment for what YOU cannot control.
"This promised, let it be observed, that his doctrine represents our blessed Lord, "Jesus Christ the righteous," "the only begotten Son of the Father, full of grace and truth," as an hypocrite, a deceiver of the people, a man void of common sincerity. For it cannot be denied, that he everywhere speaks as if he was willing that all men should be saved. Therefore, to say he was not willing that all men should be saved, is to represent him as a mere hypocrite and dissembler. It cannot be denied that the gracious words which came out of his mouth are full of invitations to all sinners. To say, then, he did not intend to save all sinners, is to represent him as a gross deceiver of the people. You cannot deny that he says, "Come unto me, all ye that are weary and heavy laden." If, then, you say he calls those that cannot come; those whom he knows to be unable to come; those whom he can make able to come, but will not; how is it possible to describe greater insincerity? You represent him as mocking his helpless creatures, by offering what he never intends to give. You describe him as saying one thing, and meaning another; as pretending the love which he had not. Him, in "whose mouth was no guile," you make full of deceit, void of common sincerity..." - John Wesley 1703 - 1791, founder of what is now the international Methodist Church
God stated that God predestined "before the creation of the world" to bring man back to God through "the precious blood of Christ." God predestined to bring YOU back to God through faith in Jesus Christ.
God knew that Adam would sin before God created Adam, and God predestined to bring humanity back to God through the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ. To believe that God was surprised by the sin of Adam is to not believe in God's omniscience. It is a faithless position that leaves a person without the assurance that God will not be surprised by the future events of their own life. It would be a frightening position to think that God does not expect and plan for everything in our lives. God attempts to get everyone to prepare, and make changes for their own benefit. The Holy Word of God teaches that because of God's omniscience, God knew before time began where YOU will spend eternity. God does not control YOUR destiny, God is simply aware of YOUR destiny. God knows where YOU will spend eternity, but YOU determine where YOU will spend eternity.
It is true that no one can come to Jesus Christ unless God draws that person to Jesus Christ.
John 6:43b,44 (NIV) Jesus answered. "No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up at the last day."
The Holy Word of God completely refutes the devil's lie put forth by John Calvin in asserting personal individual predestination. The Holy Word of God exposes that lie of the devil, when the Holy Word of God states that the Holy Spirit of God in His infinite mercy and justice draws every person to God. Through God's grace, everyone is drawn to God, at least one time in their lifetime.
John 12:32 (NIV) "But I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to myself."
Isaiah 55:6-7 (NIV) Seek the LORD while he may be found; call on him while he is near. Let the wicked forsake his way and the evil man his thoughts. Let him turn to the LORD, and he will have mercy on him, and to our God, for he will freely pardon.
John 6:40 (NIV) "For my Father's will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day."
John 7:37-38 (NIV) On the last and greatest day of the Feast, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, "If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him."
Romans 10:12,13 (NIV) For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile--the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."
Revelation 3:20 (NIV) "Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me."
Matthew 22:9 (NIV) 'Go to the street corners and invite to the banquet anyone you find.'
2 Peter 3:9 (NIV) The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
Acts 17:30 (NIV) In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent.
1 Timothy 2:3-4 (NIV) This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.
Matthew 11:28-30 (NIV) "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."
Even those people who have never heard the name of Jesus Christ are drawn to God. Those people are drawn to God through observation of God's creation.
Romans 1:18-32 (NIV) The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities--his eternal power and divine nature--have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse. For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles. Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator--who is forever praised. Amen. Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion. Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done. They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless. Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.
Consider the contrasting net effect on humanity of the two diverse poles of theology. If I have misunderstood the Holy Word of God concerning individual predestination, (The Holy Word of God, and the Holy Spirit of God convinces me that I have not.) I have not lost anything because my eternal destiny was already determined by God. If, however, YOU believe the teaching of the devil and are discouraged into a fatalistic inaction, YOU will spend eternity in Hell.
Isaiah 28:15 (NIV) You boast, "We have entered into a covenant with death, with the grave we have made an agreement. When an overwhelming scourge sweeps by, it cannot touch us, for we have made a lie our refuge and falsehood our hiding place."
Isaiah 28:18 (NIV) Your covenant with death will be annulled; your agreement with the grave will not stand. When the overwhelming scourge sweeps by, you will be beaten down by it.
Revelation 3:5 printed below, implies the fact that when YOU sin YOUR name will be blotted out from the "book of life."
Revelation 3:5 (NIV) He who overcomes will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out his name from the book of life, but will acknowledge his name before my Father and his angels.
If YOU overcome, God "will never blot out" YOUR "name from the book of life", clearly implying that if YOU DO NOT overcome, God WILL blot YOUR name out of the "book of life."
In Exodus 32:33 printed below, the Holy Word of God clearly states that if YOU commit sin, God WILL blot YOUR name out of the "book of life."
Exodus 32:33 (NIV) The Lord replied to Moses, "Whoever has sinned against me I will blot out of my book."
Daniel 12:1-2 (NIV) "At that time Michael, the great prince who protects your people, will arise. There will be a time of distress such as has not happened from the beginning of nations until then. But at that time your people--everyone whose name is found written in the book--will be delivered. Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt."
God will open "the book of life" at the Great White Throne Judgment referenced in Revelation 20:10-15 printed below, in order to determine who will be condemned to Hell, and who will be welcomed into Heaven referenced in Revelation 21:27 printed below.
Revelation 20:10-15 (NIV) And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever. Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it.
Revelation 21:27 (NIV) Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life.
EXODUS 32:33 printed above, ALONE, AND BY ITSELF, EXPOSES EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THE PENTAGRAM OF POINTS THAT MAKE UP "TULIP CALVINISM", AS THE LIES FROM THE DEVIL THAT THEY ARE!
If YOUR name was "written in the book of life", and then blotted out, THERE CAN BE NO; 1. Total Depravity resulting in individual predestination, THERE CAN BE NO 2. Unconditional election, THERE CAN BE NO 3. Limited Atonement, THERE CAN BE NO 4. Irresistible Grace, and THERE CAN BE NO 5. Perseverance of the Saints.
YOU are saved by the unmerited favor of God (grace). YOU will be judged by YOUR works. If YOU are judged by YOUR works, and YOUR works are sinful, YOU are Hell bound! HELLO! Are YOU listening to what God is saying?
Revelation 20:11-15 (NIV) Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. Earth and sky fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. 13 The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what he had done. 14 Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. 15 If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.
Revelation 22:12 (NIV) "Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done."
Romans 2:6 (NIV) God "will give to each person according to what he has done."
Psalms 62:12b(NIV) Surely you will reward each person according to what he has done.
Proverbs 24:12 (NIV) If you say, "But we knew nothing about this," does not he who weighs the heart perceive it? Does not he who guards your life know it? Will he not repay each person according to what he has done?"
Matthew 16:27 (NIV) "For the Son of Man is going to come in his Father's glory with his angels, and then he will reward each person according to what he has done."
2 Corinthians 5:10 (NIV) For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.
3 John 1:11 Dear friend, do not imitate what is evil but what is good. Anyone who does what is good is from God. Anyone who does what is evil has not seen God.
If YOU paint, YOU are a painter. If YOU lie, YOU are a liar. If YOU sin, YOU are a sinner.
Revelation 21:8 (NIV) But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars--their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death."
If YOU violate one commandment, YOU violate them all.
James 2:10 (NIV) For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it.
James 3:16 (NIV) For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice.
If YOU sin, YOU are disobedient to the will and instructions of God.
Ephesians 5:3-6 (NIV) But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God's holy people. 4 Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving. 5 For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person--such a man is an idolater--has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. 6 Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God's wrath comes on those who are disobedient.
If YOU do what is shameful and deceitful, YOU will NOT go to Heaven, and YOUR name is NOT written in the "Lamb's Book of Life."
Revelation 21:27 (NIV) Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life.
Every sin is shameful!
If YOU do NOT do the perfect-will of the Father in Heaven, YOU will NOT enter Heaven.
Matthew 7:21 (NIV) "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven."
It is certainly NOT in the Father's perfect-will that YOU sin.
Romans 14:15 printed below, ALONE, AND BY ITSELF, ALSO EXPOSES EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THE PENTAGRAM OF POINTS THAT MAKE UP "TULIP CALVINISM", AS THE LIES FROM THE DEVIL THAT THEY ARE!
Romans 14:15 (NIV) If your brother is distressed because of what you eat, you are no longer acting in love. Do not by your eating destroy your brother for whom Christ died.
If YOU can "destroy your brother for whom Christ died", for YOUR brother THERE CAN BE NO; 1.
ALL OF THE BELOW LISTED HOLY SCRIPTURES, ALONE, AND BY THEMSELVES, EACH EXPOSE EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THE PENTAGRAM OF POINTS THAT MAKE UP "TULIP CALVINISM", AS THE LIES FROM THE DEVIL THAT THEY ARE!
1 Corinthians 3:16-17 (NIV) Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's Spirit lives in you? 17 If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him; for God's temple is sacred, and you are that temple.
1 Corinthians 9:26-27 (NIV) Therefore I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air. 27 No, I beat my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.
John 8:34-35 (NIV) Jesus replied, "I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever."
1 Corinthians 10:13 (NIV) No temptation has seized YOU except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let YOU be tempted beyond what YOU can bear. But when YOU are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that YOU can stand up under it.
2 Peter 3:17 (NIV) Therefore, dear friends, since you already know this, be on your guard so that you may not be carried away by the error of lawless men and fall from your secure position.
IF YOU DO NOT BELIEVE WHAT THE HOLY WORD OF GOD SAYS CONCERNING THE SIN IN YOUR LIFE, THEIR IS NO HOPE FOR YOU!
2. Unconditional election - That lie of the devil is that God chooses whom God will love without any regard for that individuals free-will. The devil has again misused the Holy Word of God in order to deceive. The Holy Scripture that the devil has misused is Romans 9:11-18 printed below.
Romans 9:11-18 (NIV) Yet, before the twins were born or had done anything good or bad--in order that God's purpose in election might stand: 12 not by works but by him who calls--she was told, "The older will serve the younger." 13 Just as it is written: "Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated." 14 What then shall we say? Is God unjust? Not at all! 15 For he says to Moses, "I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion." 16 It does not, therefore, depend on man's desire or effort, but on God's mercy. 17 For the Scripture says to Pharaoh: "I raised you up for this very purpose, that I might display my power in you and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth." 18 Therefore God has mercy on whom he wants to have mercy, and he hardens whom he wants to harden.
God is a God of perfect order.
1 Corinthians 14:33 (NIV) For God is not a God of disorder but of peace.
When God created the universe, God imposed order on chaos. God set a standard of physical laws in place that are still in effect. The "light" created by God on the first day, referenced in Genesis 1:3-5 printed below, was not the luminaries; as the luminaries were created by God on the fourth day, referenced in Genesis 1:14-19 printed below.
Genesis 1:3-5 (NIV) And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light. 4 God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light "day," and the darkness he called "night." And there was evening, and there was morning--the first day.
Genesis 1:14-19 (NIV) And God said, "Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark seasons and days and years, 15 and let them be lights in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth." And it was so. 16 God made two great lights--the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars. 17 God set them in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth, 18 to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And God saw that it was good. 19 And there was evening, and there was morning--the fourth day.
"God is light" When God said "Let there be light," on the first day, God imposed Himself, or God's order on the creation.
1 John 1:5 (NIV) This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.
The creation is perfect order, and a perfect reflection of God. All physical laws, whether understood or not, are perfect and consistent. Physical laws never change. God is omnipotent, which means God is all power. God is omnipresent, which means God is everywhere. God is everywhere because God is the order, structure and power of the universe. God's perfect order imposes perfect cause-and-effect into infinity. Perfect cause-and-effect exists in everything within the entire universe, from the sub-atomic level of the smallest atom, to the entire universe as a whole, from the micro to the macro. For every action there is an opposite and exact reaction. Every action will create a reaction because of God's established order of cause-and-effect.
"To every action there is always opposed an equal reaction: or, the mutual actions of two bodies upon each other are always equal, and directed to contrary parts." - Sir Issac Newton 1642-1727
"E=mc2" - Albert Einstein 1879-1955
"The theory of probabilities is at bottom nothing but common sense reduced to calculus." - Pierre Simon de Laplace 1749-1827
Sir Isaac Newton's observations, Albert Einstein's formula, and Pierre Simon de Laplaces' philosophy is still correct, because they all reflect the perfect order of God.
“Nature is but a name for an effect, Whose cause is God.” - William Cowper 1731-1800
In mathematics, physics, and all other sciences, YOU can begin to see the perfect consistency of God's order. That cause-and-effect order is perfect from before the first moment of time until after time is no more. All science is the study of cause-and-effect in God's universe. If the universe were chaotic, where cause created inconsistent effect, no one could know or understand anything.
Because God is a God of perfect order, God also set spiritual laws in place to bring order to YOUR spirit. Like physical laws, spiritual laws also never change.
Exodus 20:1-17 (NIV) And God spoke all these words: 2 "I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. 3 "You shall have no other gods before me. 4 "You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. 5 You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, 6 but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments. 7 "You shall not misuse the name of the LORD your God, for the LORD will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name. 8 "Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your manservant or maidservant, nor your animals, nor the alien within your gates. 11 For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy. 12 "Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the LORD your God is giving you. 13 "You shall not murder. 14 "You shall not commit adultery. 15 "You shall not steal. 16 "You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor. 17 "You shall not covet your neighbor's house. You shall not covet your neighbor's wife, or his manservant or maidservant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor."
God's universe of law and order is set up to bless the lawful, those people who comply with God's law and order. God's universe of law and order is set up to curse the lawless, those people who do not comply with God's law and order. The blessing of the righteous people is to understand God's laws and apply them to their lives. The righteous people receive great blessings from their righteousness. The curse of sinful people is that they do not accept God's spiritual laws and live by them. Consequently, sinful people pay great prices for their sin.
The Apostle Paul's letter to the Romans, referenced in Romans 9:11-18 printed below appears to be inconsistent with the entire Holy Word of God.
The entire Holy Word of God is the message of God's love.
1 John 4:8 (NIV) Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.
Psalm 145:9 (KJV) "The Lord is loving unto every man; and his mercy is over all his works."
God is perfectly consistent and does not show favoritism.
Romans 2:11 (NIV) For God does not show favoritism.
Acts 10:34,35 (NIV) Then Peter began to speak: "I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism but accepts men from every nation who fear him and do what is right."
1 Peter 1:17 (NIV) Since you call on a Father who judges each man's work impartially, live your lives as strangers here in reverent fear.
The entire Holy Word of God, perfectly and consistently throughout declares man through grace, to have the free-will to choose to worship God, or to choose to commit sin. The ninth chapter of Romans appears to rob Jacob and Esau, Pharaoh, and all mankind of their free-will through grace to choose to worship God, or to choose to commit sin
Romans 9:12d printed above states: "The older will serve the younger." Esau was the older, Jacob was the younger of Isaac's sons. Esau the physical man never personally served Jacob the physical man. The older Esau never personally, nor physically served the younger Jacob. Because Romans 9:11-18 printed above was not fulfilled personally, in the physical realm, YOU must look to the spiritual realm for clarification. Esau was godless, rebellious, and lawless, because he was a spiritual descendant of the devil. Esau did not train his family to obey God's or man's laws. His family was cursed because of it.
Malachi 1:2-5 (NIV) "I have loved you," says the LORD. "But you ask, 'How have you loved us?' "Was not Esau Jacob's brother?" the LORD says. "Yet I have loved Jacob, 3 but Esau I have hated, and I have turned his mountains into a wasteland and left his inheritance to the desert jackals." 4 Edom may say, "Though we have been crushed, we will rebuild the ruins." But this is what the LORD Almighty says: "They may build, but I will demolish. They will be called the Wicked Land, a people always under the wrath of the LORD. 5 You will see it with your own eyes and say, 'Great is the LORD--even beyond the borders of Israel!'
Hebrews 12:16-17 (NIV) See that no one is sexually immoral, or is godless like Esau, who for a single meal sold his inheritance rights as the oldest son. 17 Afterward, as you know, when he wanted to inherit this blessing, he was rejected. He could bring about no change of mind, though he sought the blessing with tears.
Genesis 26:34-35 (NIV) When Esau was forty years old, he married Judith daughter of Beeri the Hittite, and also Basemath daughter of Elon the Hittite. 35 They were a source of grief to Isaac and Rebekah.
Genesis 27:46 (NIV) Then Rebekah said to Isaac, "I'm disgusted with living because of these Hittite women. If Jacob takes a wife from among the women of this land, from Hittite women like these, my life will not be worth living."
Genesis 28:6-9 (NIV) Now Esau learned that Isaac had blessed Jacob and had sent him to Paddan Aram to take a wife from there, and that when he blessed him he commanded him, "Do not marry a Canaanite woman," 7 and that Jacob had obeyed his father and mother and had gone to Paddan Aram. 8 Esau then realized how displeasing the Canaanite women were to his father Isaac; 9 so he went to Ishmael and married Mahalath, the sister of Nebaioth and daughter of Ishmael son of Abraham, in addition to the wives he already had.
In contrast to the rebellious, wicked Esau, Jacob had a heart for God. Jacob's name means "he grasps," and Jacob truly lived up to his name in grasping everything about God that he could. Genesis chapter 27 reveals that Jacob wanted the birthright even if he had to lie and steal to get it. The end justified the means in Jacob's mind. Jacob did not have the knowledge of God's Law that YOU have today, and so Jacob's actions will not be judged in the same light that YOUR actions will be judged. Because of Jacob's heart for God, Jacob taught his family to serve God, and comply with God's Law to the extent that Jacob understood God's Law. Jacob's family was blessed because of Jacob's teaching, and because of their attempted compliance with the Law of God.
Jacob vowed to make the Lord his God.
Genesis 28:20-22 (NIV) Then Jacob made a vow, saying, "If God will be with me and will watch over me on this journey I am taking and will give me food to eat and clothes to wear 21 so that I return safely to my father's house, then the LORD will be my God 22 and this stone that I have set up as a pillar will be God's house, and of all that you give me I will give you a tenth."
Jacob fought for God's blessing.
Genesis 32:22-32 (NIV) That night Jacob got up and took his two wives, his two maidservants and his eleven sons and crossed the ford of the Jabbok. 23 After he had sent them across the stream, he sent over all his possessions. 24 So Jacob was left alone, and a man wrestled with him till daybreak. 25 When the man saw that he could not overpower him, he touched the socket of Jacob's hip so that his hip was wrenched as he wrestled with the man. 26 Then the man said, "Let me go, for it is daybreak." But Jacob replied, "I will not let you go unless you bless me." 27 The man asked him, "What is your name?" "Jacob," he answered. 28 Then the man said, "Your name will no longer be Jacob, but Israel, because you have struggled with God and with men and have overcome." 29 Jacob said, "Please tell me your name." But he replied, "Why do you ask my name?" Then he blessed him there. 30 So Jacob called the place Peniel, saying, "It is because I saw God face to face, and yet my life was spared." 31 The sun rose above him as he passed Peniel, and he was limping because of his hip. 32 Therefore to this day the Israelites do not eat the tendon attached to the socket of the hip, because the socket of Jacob's hip was touched near the tendon.
Jacob taught his family to respect, obey, and fear God.
Genesis 35:1-7 (NIV) Then God said to Jacob, "Go up to Bethel and settle there, and build an altar there to God, who appeared to you when you were fleeing from your brother Esau." 2 So Jacob said to his household and to all who were with him, "Get rid of the foreign gods you have with you, and purify yourselves and change your clothes. 3 Then come, let us go up to Bethel, where I will build an altar to God, who answered me in the day of my distress and who has been with me wherever I have gone." 4 So they gave Jacob all the foreign gods they had and the rings in their ears, and Jacob buried them under the oak at Shechem. 5 Then they set out, and the terror of God fell upon the towns all around them so that no one pursued them. 6 Jacob and all the people with him came to Luz (that is, Bethel) in the land of Canaan. 7 There he built an altar, and he called the place El Bethel, because it was there that God revealed himself to him when he was fleeing from his brother.
In Romans 9:11-18 the name Esau is used as a synonym for those people who have the same sinful spirit as the devil, and is a direct contrast to the name Jacob that is used as a synonym for those people who have the Holy Spirit of God.
Esau the elder, lawless one; will serve Jacob, the younger lawful one. The lawless will serve the law abiding. The law makers will always be superior sociologically to those that the law controls. Sociologically, disorder will ultimately always subordinate to another form of order. When the leaders of a society do not require that their laws be adhered to, that society disintegrates to the point of non-function, and is then replaced by a new society with new leaders who will force adherence to their new laws. The lawless need the iron scepter of law for control. The lawless must be controlled like brute beasts, because any person who is spiritually dead can only function in the physical realm, which is exactly like a brute beast functions.
"Laws control the lesser man - right conduct controls the greater." - Mark Twain 1835-1910
Throughout history, Esau's spiritual descendants have been frequently in subjection to Jacob's spiritual descendants. The lawless, sinful people will ultimately serve the Righteous, Holy people.
Proverbs 12:24 (NIV) Diligent hands will rule, but laziness ends in slave labor.
Proverbs 11:29 (NIV) He who brings trouble on his family will inherit only wind, and the fool will be servant to the wise.
The lawless will always need to be subjected to the law. All lawless, sinful people are spiritual descendants of the devil, like Esau was, and will incur God's hatred and wrath, through the order that God has established in God's universe. All Righteous, Holy people are spiritual descendants of God, like Jacob is, and will enjoy God's love and support, through complying with the order that God has established in God's universe.
It is the teaching of the devil through what is credited to John Calvin that the sovereignty of God does not allow a person to have a free-will. Proof of our free-will is found throughout the Holy Word of God.
Joshua 24:15 (NIV) "But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your forefathers served beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord."
Cain and Able were in the same household with the same genetics and training, but Able attempted to comply with God's Law, while Cain rebelled against God's Law. Moses and Pharaoh were in the same household with the same training, but Moses chose to obey God's Law, while Pharaoh chose to rebel against God's Law. The fact that Pharaoh initially had a free-will is clarified in the document: "The Mercy Of God Has A Deadline." Esau and Jacob were in the same household with the same genetics and training, yet Jacob attempted to obey God's Law, while Esau chose to rebel against God's Law.
Romans 9:13 printed above states: "Just as it is written: "Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated." In what respect does God hate Esau?
AS THE ELDER INDIVIDUAL MAN NAMED ESAU DID NOT PERSONALLY SERVE THE YOUNGER INDIVIDUAL MAN NAMED JACOB; SO GOD DID NOT PERSONALLY HATE THE INDIVIDUAL MAN NAMED ESAU, WHILE GOD PERSONALLY LOVED THE INDIVIDUAL MAN NAMED JACOB.
God (God's order) loves those "Jacob's" who love God (God's order). God (God's order) hates (God's order does not aid, God's order is not set up to support the existence of, God's order will effect the destruction of) those "Esau's" who do not comply with God's order.
In the original Greek language, the Apostle Paul's verbiage in The Book of Romans more clearly reflects the fact that God has the right to choose God's own standard by which God will judge everyone. God is Righteous, Holy, and Perfect. Because God is a Righteous, Holy and Perfect God, He is forced by His Righteousness, Holiness, and Perfection to set a standard of Righteousness, Holiness, and Perfection. God's order is forced by God's Justice to reserve God's mercy and compassion for those "Jacob's" who comply with God's standard of Righteousness, Holiness, and Perfection. God's order loves those "Jacob's" who attempt to comply with God's Law. God's order is forced by God's Justice to reserve God's curses and wrath for those "Esau's" who refuse to comply with God's standard of Righteousness, Holiness, and Perfection. God's order hates those "Esau's" who choose their own lawless self-will over God's Righteous, Holy, and Perfect-Will.
The Holy Spirit of God through the Apostle Paul in Romans 9:11-18 printed above, is first addressing the Jew/Gentile issue, and not a personal salvation issue, and in the original Greek, is addressing the standard by which God will judge everyone. Paul concludes the Jew/Gentile issue in Galatians 3:26-29.
Galatians 3:26-29 (NIV) You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus, 27 for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
In Galatians 3:26-29 printed above, the Apostle Paul is simply stating that the only important issue is whether YOU are a spiritual descendant of Jesus Christ. Paul is not stating that YOU physically cease to be, "Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female". Although YOU may be spiritually in Jesus Christ, YOU physically remain what YOU are. If Paul was stating that when YOU are spiritually in Jesus Christ, YOU physically cease to be, "Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female", then homosexuality would not be a sin, because if YOU are neither "male nor female", then it would not matter if YOU, a male, married a male, or if YOU, a female married a female. It does matter, as YOU physically remain what YOU are in the physical world. 1 Timothy 2:8-14 and 1 Corinthians 14:33-35 concerning women speaking in the church is still the Holy Word of God and applicable, and the practice of homosexuality is still a sin. (The practice of homosexuality can only be a sin if people who choose to practice homosexuality have a free-will that allows them to choose to practice homosexuality, or to choose to not practice homosexuality.)
Leviticus 18:22 (NIV) "'Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable."
Leviticus 20:13 (NIV) "'If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads."
1 Corinthians 6:9-10 (NIV) Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders 10 nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.
Isaiah 3:9 (NIV) The look on their faces testifies against them; they parade their sin like Sodom; they do not hide it. Woe to them! They have brought disaster upon themselves.
When God imposed Himself on Creation thereby imposing His Perfect Order, could God have imposed a different system than that system of order which He imposed?
No, He could not have for this reason. Everything has degrees of quality, as in good, better, best, all the way to complete perfection. God is completely perfect. The ultimate perfection is love, and the ultimate love is referred to as "Agape" Love. God’s System of Perfect Order that He imposed on Creation is Perfect "Agape" Love. God IS "Agape" Love.
1 John 4:8 (NIV) Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.
"Agape" Love is a completely unselfish, completely pure, totally giving love, spoken out from the Creator in every direction, and is unaffected by anything within its path. Any deviation from God’s Perfect Order that God imposed on Creation, would be a deviation from Perfect "Agape" Love. God will never deviate from perfection, because God will never deviate from Himself; consequently God will never deviate from God’s Perfect Order that God imposed on Creation.
3. Limited Atonement (Which is also known as Particular Atonement.) - That lie of the devil is that Jesus Christ died only for those people that God had already individually predestined to worship God. The Holy Word of God states that Jesus Christ died for everyone in the WHOLE WORLD.
John 3:16,17 (NIV) "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him."
John 1:29 (NIV) The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, "Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!"
John 4:42 (NIV) They said to the woman, "We no longer believe just because of what you said; now we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this man really is the Savior of the world."
1 John 2:1,2 (NIV) My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have one who speaks to the Father in our defense--Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.
1 John 4:14 (NIV) And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world.
1 Timothy 2:1-6 (NIV) I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone--for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all men--the testimony given in its proper time.
1 Timothy 4:9-10 (NIV) This is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance (and for this we labor and strive), that we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, and especially of those who believe.
2 Corinthians 5:14-15 (NIV) For Christ's love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.
Hebrews 2:9 (NIV) But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone.
Romans 8:31,32 (NIV) What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all--how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?
Matthew 18:14 (NIV) "In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should be lost."
Luke 19:10 (NIV) "For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost."
4. Irresistible Grace - That lie of the devil is that God forces those people to worship God, whom God has already individually predestined to worship God.
Satan was created with a free-will, Adam was created with a free-will, all of mankind was created with a free-will, and YOU were created with a free-will.
5. Perseverance of the Saints - That lie of the devil is that, "Once YOU are in the family of God, YOU will always be in the family of God", or "Once YOU are saved, YOU will always be saved." That lie of the devil is that YOU cannot lose YOUR eternal life. That lie of the devil is the same old lie that the devil used to deceive the Jewish people with.
Many "Calvinists" today reject the first four lies of "TULIP Calvinism", but are still deceived into believing the fifth lie of "TULIP Calvinism". These people reject the lie that man is individually predestined by God to worship God, or to commit sin; and agree that man is born with a free-will that allows man to choose to worship God, or to choose to commit sin. These people are deceived because they believe that YOU retain YOUR free-will to choose to worship God or to choose to commit sin, as long as YOU do not exercise YOUR free-will and choose to worship God. These deceived people believe that once YOU choose to worship God, YOU immediately lose YOUR free-will and are locked into a relationship with God, and consequently YOU can never choose to commit sin that YOU will be held accountable for.
Jesus Christ is "the bread of life." If YOU consume "the bread of life", YOU will live.
John 6:35 (NIV) Then Jesus declared, "I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty."
John 6:51 (NIV) "I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world."
The devil's lies are the "bread of death." If YOU consume the "bread of death," YOU will die. If the devil cannot give YOU the whole loaf of his "death bread" through the pentagram of "TULIP Calvinism", then the devil will attempt to give YOU half a loaf, or even one single slice of his "death bread" through a single point of "TULIP Calvinism". If the devil is able to feed YOU the devil's deadly lies, then the quantity of the devil's lies that the devil is able to feed YOU is insignificant; because the effect of any sin, great or small, is always the same; when YOU sin, YOU die. TO COMMIT SIN IS SPIRITUAL SUICIDE!
YOU were born with the same sinful spirit as the devil, but through God's grace, YOU are given a free-will to become a spiritual child of God through faith in Jesus Christ.
God the Creator/Father is Holy, and God requires that His children be Holy:
1 Peter 1:15-16 (NIV) But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: "Be holy, because I am holy."
YOU can only become Holy by metaphorically crucifying YOUR sinful spirit, and being filled with the Holy Spirit of God through faith in Jesus Christ. God provided Jesus Christ as an Atonement for YOUR sins. If YOU accept the Blood Substitution Sacrifice of Jesus Christ, YOU are allowed at-one-ment with God.
As all of humanity was born in sin, if YOU have not been "born again" of the Holy Spirit of God, then the devil is YOUR spiritual father.
John 8:44 (NIV) "You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies."
YOU must be conceived spiritually by the Holy Spirit of God, and "born again" of God.
Once YOU were born to YOUR earthly physical father, YOU will always remain a child of his forever. There is an attempt to use that physical fact to support the premise, "Once YOU are in the family of God, YOU will always be in the family of God", or "Once YOU are saved, YOU will always be saved." The point is made that, "YOU may be a good child, or a bad child, but YOU will always remain YOUR father's child." This distortion is based on an earthly understanding of human physical relationships, and is an effort to force-fit them onto spiritual relationships. The spiritually discerning Christian realizes the fallacy in the lie, "Once YOU are in the family of God, YOU will always be in the family of God", or "Once YOU are saved, YOU will always be saved."
Consider that God is also the Creator/Father of the devil, although Satan was not sinful when God created Satan. When the devil sinned, the devil was cast away from God, driven out of Heaven, and will be condemned to Hell; JUST LIKE YOU WILL BE CAST AWAY FROM GOD AND CONDEMNED TO HELL IF YOU COMMIT SIN THAT YOU DO NOT REPENT OF.
The lie, "Once YOU are in the family of God, YOU will always be in the family of God", or "Once YOU are saved, YOU will always be saved," is more than 2,000 years old, was perpetrated by the devil, and was used by Judeo-Organized Religion, and the learned Jewish scholars of Jesus Christ's day. It is the same lie that the Pharisees used in telling Jesus Christ they were religious because they were descendants of Abraham. The Pharisees were ignorantly attempting to force-fit a physical law onto a spiritual relationship. Jesus Christ destroyed their distorted analysis and interpretation when Jesus Christ said that it was false, and that those hiding behind it were the children of the devil. Jesus Christ said they weren't sons of God, they were slaves to sin.
Luke 3:7-9 (NIV) John said to the crowds coming out to be baptized by him, "You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath? 8 Produce fruit in keeping with repentance. And do not begin to say to yourselves, 'We have Abraham as our father.' For I tell you that out of these stones God can raise up children for Abraham. 9 The ax is already at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire."
John 8:31-47 (NIV) To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. 32 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." 33 They answered him, "We are Abraham's descendants and have never been slaves of anyone. How can you say that we shall be set free?" 34 Jesus replied, "I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. 35 Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever. 36 So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. 37 I know you are Abraham's descendants. Yet you are ready to kill me, because you have no room for my word. 38 I am telling you what I have seen in the Father's presence, and you do what you have heard from your father." 39 "Abraham is our father," they answered. "If you were Abraham's children," said Jesus, "then you would do the things Abraham did. 40 As it is, you are determined to kill me, a man who has told you the truth that I heard from God. Abraham did not do such things. 41 You are doing the things your own father does." "We are not illegitimate children," they protested. "The only Father we have is God himself." 42 Jesus said to them, "If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came from God and now am here. I have not come on my own; but he sent me. 43 Why is my language not clear to you? Because you are unable to hear what I say. 44 You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. 45 Yet because I tell the truth, you do not believe me! 46 Can any of you prove me guilty of sin? If I am telling the truth, why don't you believe me? 47 He who belongs to God hears what God says. The reason you do not hear is that you do not belong to God."
It is interesting to note that at the same time that Jesus Christ addressed the devil's lie, "Once YOU are in the family of God, YOU will always be in the family of God", or "Once YOU are saved, YOU will always be saved;" Jesus Christ simultaneously addressed the devil's lie that "Every man sins every day, in word, thought, and deed."
John 8:34-35 (NIV) Jesus replied, "I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. 35 Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever."
The devil himself could not do any worse than to, "sin every day, in word, thought, and deed." If YOU "sin every day, in word, thought, and deed," then YOU are a spiritual descendant of the devil, and YOU have the same sinful spirit in YOU that the devil has in him. Apparently the lie of the devil that; "Every man sins every day, in word, thought, and deed," was connected 2,000 years ago to the lie of the devil that; "Once YOU are in the family of God, YOU will always be in the family of God", or "Once YOU are saved, YOU will always be saved." As Solomon said, "there is nothing new under the sun." The devil apparently picked up his old lies, dusted them off, and submitted them again through the teaching of John Calvin.
Ecclesiastes 1:9-10 (NIV) What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun. 10 Is there anything of which one can say, "Look! This is something new"? It was here already, long ago; it was here before our time.
The Holy Spirit of God addressed sin through the Apostle Paul:
1 Corinthians 15:34 (NIV) Come back to your senses as you ought, and stop sinning; for there are some who are ignorant of God--I say this to your shame.
The Apostle Paul, and the Apostle John's remarks concerning man's struggle with sin, prior to that man being "born again" of the Holy Spirit of God, are frequently used by "Calvinistic theologians" as their biblical proof that man cannot live without sinning:
Romans 7:14-24 (NIV) We know that the law is spiritual; but I am unspiritual, sold as a slave to sin. 15 I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. 16 And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. 17 As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. 18 I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. 19 For what I do is not the good I want to do; no, the evil I do not want to do--this I keep on doing. 20 Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it. 21 So I find this law at work: When I want to do good, evil is right there with me. 22 For in my inner being I delight in God's law; 23 but I see another law at work in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within my members. 24 What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death?
1 John 1:8 (NIV) If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.
"Calvinistic theologians" refuse to accept the fact that faith in Jesus Christ is the cure for the disease of sin!
1 John 2:1 (NIV) My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have one who speaks to the Father in our defense--Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.
Both the Apostle Paul, and the Apostle John concluded that through faith in Jesus Christ YOU can and YOU must stop sinning, referenced in Romans 7:25-8:4; and I John chapters 2-5 and particularly in I John 3:4-6.
Romans 7:25-8:4 (NIV) Thanks be to God--through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God's law, but in the sinful nature a slave to the law of sin. 8:1 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, 2 because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death. 3 For what the law was powerless to do in that it was weakened by the sinful nature, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful man to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in sinful man, 4 in order that the righteous requirements of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the sinful nature but according to the Spirit.
1 John 3:4-6 (NIV) Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness. 5 But you know that he appeared so that he might take away our sins. And in him is no sin. 6 No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him.
"Calvinism" is the same damning theology that the people had, who were referenced in 2 Timothy 3:5 as: "having a form of Godliness, but denying its power." The only power in Christendom today that is being denied is the power to stop sinning. The devil is able to counterfeit every power except one. The power of God, manifested in Moses was counterfeited by the devil to an extent.
Exodus 7:10-12 (NIV) So Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and did just as the Lord commanded. Aaron threw his staff down in front of Pharaoh and his officials, and it became a snake. Pharaoh then summoned wise men and sorcerers, and the Egyptian magicians also did the same things by their secret arts: Each one threw down his staff and it became a snake. But Aaron's staff swallowed up their staffs.
Exodus 7:20-22 (NIV) Moses and Aaron did just as the Lord had commanded. He raised his staff in the presence of Pharaoh and his officials and struck the water of the Nile, and all the water was changed into blood. The fish in the Nile died, and the river smelled so bad that the Egyptians could not drink its water. Blood was everywhere in Egypt. But the Egyptian magicians did the same things by their secret arts, and Pharaoh's heart became hard; he would not listen to Moses and Aaron, just as the Lord had said.
The power of God, manifested in the gifts of the Holy Spirit of God is counterfeited by the devil. Certainly anyone in a charismatic church should know this fact. Anyone who would attempt to defense the position that the gift of tongues is the irrefutable evidence of the infilling of the Holy Spirit of God, realizing how often it is practiced by those living in sin, is exposing their spiritual blindness.
The power to bring back to life is even counterfeited by the devil.
Revelation 13:3 (NIV) One of the heads of the beast seemed to have had a fatal wound, but the fatal wound had been healed. The whole world was astonished and followed the beast.
Revelation 13:12 (NIV) He exercised all the authority of the first beast on his behalf, and made the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast, whose fatal wound had been healed.
The only power that the devil cannot counterfeit is the power to stop sinning. Because he cannot counterfeit it, the devil contends that Holiness does not exist. (2 Timothy 3:5) This great power of God that enables a person to stop sinning, is manifested in the crisis act of Righteousness, spoken of throughout Romans.
1 John 2:3-4 (NIV) We know that we have come to know him if we obey his commands. 4 The man who says, "I know him," but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
1 John 2:3-4 (NIV) We know that we have come to know him if we obey his commands. 4 The man who says, "I know him," but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
God is perfectly consistent in the commands that God gives, which YOU must obey in order to KNOW Him:
Matthew 22:37-40 (NIV) Jesus replied: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."
John 13:34-35 (NIV) "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."
John 15:9-17 (NIV) "As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father's commands and remain in his love. I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.
2 John 1:5-6 (NIV) And now, dear lady, I am not writing you a new command but one we have had from the beginning. I ask that we love one another. 6 And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love.
JOHN CALVIN
, WHAT IS BEING CREDITED TO YOU AS YOUR THEOLOGY, IS A LIE FROM THE DEVIL, A HERESY THAT HAS DAMNED MILLIONS OF PEOPLE TO HELL!2 Corinthians 11:14-15 (NIV) And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. 15 It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.
ANY MAN WHO TEACHES THAT GOD'S GRACE GRANTS A LICENSE FOR IMMORALITY IS GODLESS, AND HIS TEACHING IS FROM THE DEVIL!
Jude 1:4 (NIV) For certain men whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are godless men, who change the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord.
In Forest Hills, Pennsylvania, the mass murderer George Sodini believed that he could commit mass murder and still go to Heaven. George Sodini claimed that he was taught that lie by Alan "Rick" Knapp, the Pastor of the Tetelestai Church in Forest Hills, Pennsylvania. Pastor Alan "Rick" Knapp certainly taught George Sodini the lie from the devil, "Once you are saved, you will always be saved", from which George could logically draw the conclusion that he could commit mass murder and still go to Heaven. On Judgment Day, Pastor Alan "Rick" Knapp will learn exactly how much the lie from the devil that Pastor Alan "Rick" Knapp taught, enabled and encouraged George Sodini to commit mass murder. Pastor Alan "Rick" Knapp will also learn what his own personal responsibility is for endorsing that lie from the devil.
Matthew 15:14b (NIV) "If a blind man leads a blind man, both will fall into a pit."
"The Augustinian doctrine of the damnation of unbaptized infants and the Calvinistic doctrine of reprobation...surpass in atrocity any tenets that have ever been admitted into any pagan creed." - William Edward Hartpole Lecky 1838-1903
Why "Christian" people desire to study the teaching of the devil put forth as "Calvinism" has ceased to be a mystery to me. THESE PEOPLE WANT TO RETAIN THE SIN IN THEIR LIVES! They deceive themselves into thinking that God will accept them with their sin.
"Nothing is easier than self-deceit. For what each man wishes, that he also believes to be true." - Demosthenes 384-322 B. C.
These people delight in their sin and do not want to give it up. In many cases these people who delight in their sin rationalize that their sin is very small, and not important enough to keep them out of Heaven. These people do not understand that ANY small, minute, microscopic sin is proof that they are still a spiritual descendant of their father, the devil; and consequently they will be sent to Hell with their spiritual father, the devil!
I will restate that because every physical descendant of Adam was born with the same sinful spirit as their spiritual father, the devil; God gave mankind the law, in order to prove to every physical descendant of Adam that they have the same lawless spirit as their spiritual father, the devil. When YOU commit any sin, then YOU are forced to recognize, and YOU cannot refute the fact that YOU have the same lawless spirit as YOUR spiritual father, the devil.
Romans 3:20 (NIV) Therefore no one will be declared righteous in his sight by observing the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of sin.
"TULIP CALVINISM" is a lie from the devil, and A POWERFUL DELUSION for the children of the devil who DELIGHT IN SIN and do not want to stop sinning!
2 Thessalonians 2:9-12 (NIV) The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders, 10 and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. 11 For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie 12 and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.
1 Corinthians 15:12-22 (NIV) But if it is preached that Christ has been raised from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? 13 If there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised. 14 And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith. 15 More than that, we are then found to be false witnesses about God, for we have testified about God that he raised Christ from the dead. But he did not raise him if in fact the dead are not raised. 16 For if the dead are not raised, then Christ has not been raised either. 17 And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins. 18 Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ are lost. 19 If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are to be pitied more than all men. 20 But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. 21 For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. 22 For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.
Jude 1:4 (NIV) For certain men whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are godless men, who change the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord.
Nicolaitans THE CHURCH AT EPHESUS (Rev. 2:6) is commended for hating the “deeds” of the Nicolaitans, and the church of Pergamum is blamed for having them who hold their “doctrines” (Rev. 2:15). They were seemingly a class of professing Christians, who sought to introduce into the church a false freedom or licentiousness, thus abusing Paul’s doctrine of grace (Compare 2 Pet. 2:15, 16, 19), and were probably identical with those who held the doctrine of Baalam (q.v.), Rev. 2:14. – Parsons Bible Dictionary
Revelation 2:1-7 (NIV) "To the angel of the church in Ephesus write: These are the words of him who holds the seven stars in his right hand and walks among the seven golden lampstands: I know your deeds, your hard work and your perseverance. I know that you cannot tolerate wicked men, that you have tested those who claim to be apostles but are not, and have found them false. You have persevered and have endured hardships for my name, and have not grown weary. Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken your first love. Remember the height from which you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place. But you have this in your favor: You hate the practices of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God."
Revelation 2:12-17 (NIV) "To the angel of the church in Pergamum write: These are the words of him who has the sharp, double-edged sword. I know where you live--where Satan has his throne. Yet you remain true to my name. You did not renounce your faith in me, even in the days of Antipas, my faithful witness, who was put to death in your city--where Satan lives. Nevertheless, I have a few things against you: You have people there who hold to the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to entice the Israelites to sin by eating food sacrificed to idols and by committing sexual immorality. Likewise you also have those who hold to the teaching of the Nicolaitans. Repent therefore! Otherwise, I will soon come to you and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, I will give some of the hidden manna. I will also give him a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to him who receives it."
Proverbs 14:12 (NIV) There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death.
Proverbs 14:12 printed above was a haunting scripture to me, as I hoped that I wasn't one of the disillusioned who actually believe they are going to heaven, but are not. Then the Holy Spirit of God comforted me with the knowledge that throughout the Holy Bible, spiritually speaking, only one thing ever leads to the place of death. It is the avenue of SIN, and the avenue of unrepented sin always leads to one place - the place of DEATH. The sad victim referenced in Proverbs 14:12 printed above is the person that the devil has deceived into believing they can sin and still go to Heaven.
Matthew 7:22-23 (NIV) "Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'
There is power in the name of Jesus Christ to do many wonderful things, even though the person utilizing God's power does not know God. The word knew used here is in the Biblical sense of the word. These people had never had spiritual intercourse with God, because these people had never been filled with the Holy Spirit of God. The answer to the mystery of Matthew 7:22-23 is in the last word.
In Matthew 7:23 printed below, the Greek word "anomia" is translated into the English word "evildoers."
Matthew 7:22-23 (NIV) "Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' 23 Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!' "

"Anomia" is the exact same Greek word used for the definition of sin, referenced in 1 John 3:4, printed below.
1 John 3:4 (NIV) Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness.
1 John 3:4 (KJV) Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

The answer to the riddle of Matthew 7:22,23 printed above, is in the last word "evildoers." These people were "evildoers" (sinners), because they never knew the Lord in the Biblical sense of the word.
If YOU want to know who the prophets are, referenced in Matthew 7:22-23 printed above, who are going to Hell, look at the last word of Matthew 7:22-23. It is those prophets who commit sin. It is ALL of those prophets who commit sin. The group that is going to Hell will include ALL people who are functioning in the gifts of the Holy Spirit of God, but also commit sin. The group going to Hell will also include YOU, if YOU commit sin that YOU do not repent of.
Hebrews 6:4-6 printed above is certainly a denunciation of, "Once YOU are saved, YOU will always be saved."
The devil would have YOU believe that YOU cannot stop from continuing to sin. Since YOU "cannot keep from it," accept the inevitable, and continue sinning. The Holy Word of God is very clear.
1 John 5:18 (NIV) We know that anyone born of God does not continue to sin; the one who was born of God keeps him safe, and the evil one cannot harm him.
Consider again the contrasting net effect on humanity of these two diverse poles of theology. If I have misunderstood the Holy Word of God, and am deluded about sin in my life, I have lost nothing, because, "no one can live without sin." If however I have correctly understood the Holy Word of God, everyone who is continuing to sin, is going to Hell.
Matthew 13:41-42 (NIV) "The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will weed out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil. They will throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth."
Consider the contrasting desire of the devil and God.
John 10:10 (NIV) "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full."
1 Peter 5:8 (NIV) Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.
It is the height of HYPOCRISY and IDIOCY for a person who believes the lies of the devil as put forth in the pentagram of "TULIP CALVINISM", to attempt to function as an apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor, or teacher ministering to the Church.
"If [election] be so, then is all preaching vain. It is needless to them that are elected; for they whether with preaching or without, will infallibly be saved. Therefore, the end of preaching-to save souls-is void in regard to them; and it is useless to them that are not elected, for they cannot possibly be saved: They, whether with preaching or without, will infallibly be damned. The end of preaching is therefore void with regard to them likewise; so that in either case our preaching is vain, as your hearing is also vain. 11. This, then, is a plain proof that the doctrine of predestination is not a doctrine of God, because it makes void the ordinance of God; and God is not divided against himself." - John Wesley 1703 - 1791, founder of what is now the international Methodist Church
The lies put forth in the pentagram of "TULIP CALVINISM", were put forth by the devil to discourage YOU from seeking God, and they were put forth to discourage YOU from attempting to help someone else seek and find God.
The devil first puts forth the lie through John Calvin; "YOUR eternal fate is predestined, do not concern YOURSELF with eternal life." If YOUR eternal fate is predestined, why is the devil troubling himself to tell YOU anything? The devil's children would already be predetermined. The devil could not effect the outcome in any way. The devil would not waste his efforts on YOU if he thought that his efforts were futile.
"This is the blasphemy for which (however I love the persons who assert it) I abhor the doctrine of predestination, a doctrine, upon the supposition of which, if one could possibly suppose it for a moment, (call it election, reprobation, or what you please, for all comes to the same thing,) one might say to our adversary, the devil, "Thou fool, why dost thou roar about any longer? Thy lying in wait for souls is as needless and useless as our preaching. Hearest thou not, that God hath taken thy work out of thy hands; and that He doeth it much more effectually? Thou, with all thy principalities and powers, canst only so assault that we may resist the; but He can irresistibly destroy both body and soul in hell! Thou canst only entice; but His unchangeable decree, to leave thousands of souls in death, compels them to continue in sin, till they drop into everlasting burnings...." - John Wesley 1703 - 1791, founder of what is now the international Methodist Church
When YOU receive life in Jesus Christ, the devil puts forth the lie through John Calvin; "YOUR eternal salvation is guaranteed, YOU cannot fall from grace." Then the devil tempts YOU to sin. If after salvation, the devil thought that YOU could not fall from grace, the devil would immediately cease tempting YOU, as the devil would recognize that his battle would be completely lost. YOU are tempted to sin, because the devil knows that YOU, like Satan, Adam and Judas, can fall from grace.
Acts 1:24-25 (KJV) And they prayed, and said, Thou, Lord, which knowest the hearts of all men, show whether of these two thou hast chosen, 25 That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place.
The devil puts forth the lie through John Calvin, "Every man sins every day, in word, thought, and deed," and the devil then tempts YOU to sin. If "Every man sins every day, in word, thought, and deed," the devil would not waste his time tempting YOU to sin, as YOU would sin anyway. The fact that the devil tempts YOU to sin is proof that the devil knows that YOU can live without sinning.
Most of the rhetoric of "Calvinist" theologians, is consumed NOT with bringing people to Jesus Christ, but with convincing naive foolish people that the naive foolish people can continue in sin and still go to Heaven!
If the devil's lies were true, the devil would not need to tempt YOU. The devil continues tempting YOU because the devil knows that the lie he is putting forth through a lot of "Calvinistic theologians" is impure excrement. The devil knows it, unfortunately, most of the "Calvinistic theologians" don't. "Eternal Security" people have about as much "security" as a fat ostrich with his head buried in the sand surrounded by a pack of hungry wolves. Refusing to acknowledge the reality of the situation does not change the situation for the ostrich, or for those who follow the lie of the devil taught by the deceived John Calvin, and his deceived followers.
Which theology is most risky? Which theology will prove catastrophic? Which theology is from the devil?
We know that God does not listen to sinners. He listens to the godly man who does his will. - John 9:31 (NIV)
In Matthew 24, Jesus Christ stated that in these last days, many false prophets would come and deceive many people. YOUR Only Protection Against Being DECEIVED Is For YOU To KNOW The Holy Word Of God . Because The Devil, His Fallen Angels/Demons, His False Christs, And His False Prophets; Will Misstate, Twist, And Misuse The Holy Word Of God, And Outright Lie To YOU, In Order To Deceive YOU, And Damn YOU To Hell , then The Counsel Of The Holy Spirit Of God Is Essential In Order For YOU To KNOW And Understand The Holy Word Of God .
In "A Holy God Is Worthy Of, Requires, And Will Have A Holy People For His Holy City ," temptation, the salvation process, and the fact that sins are acts that come from sin as a state of being is discussed. When Jesus Christ conquered sin and death, Jesus Christ conquered sin as a state of being. The Holy Scriptures reflect that through faith in Jesus Christ, God can cure the leprous internal state-of-being of the disease of sin, and therefore, the leprous external evidence of the acts of sin will be cured as well. Through faith in Jesus Christ, YOU can be freed from sin as a state of being! In the section "YOU Were Originally Created In Order To Have Spiritual Intercourse With God, Totally For YOUR Benefit ," it is revealed that YOU are not conceived by the Holy Spirit of God until the Holy Spirit of God has had spiritual intercourse with YOU. This cannot occur until YOU are Holy as God is Holy.
1 Peter 1:15-16 (NIV) But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; 16 for it is written: "Be holy, because I am holy."
It has already been put forth in this document that only sin can separate YOU from God, but sin will always separate YOU from God. One single, small, minute, unrepented sin will separate YOU from God just like one single, small, minute, unrepented sin separated Adam and Eve from God, because it is proof of YOUR rebellious sinful heart.
Historically, the normal response for most people in Judeo-Christian Organized Religion is to resist new light. If YOU are comfortable in YOUR sin, having had the thought introduced to YOU that there might be a way out of YOUR sin; it can only mean that YOU have rationalized and accepted YOUR sin, that YOU are comfortable while YOU deeply hurt and grieve the One that YOU say YOU, "love with all YOUR heart and with all YOUR soul and with all YOUR mind!" - Matthew 22:37-40 NIV
YOUR rebellious self-will is resisting YOU moving closer to God! The same spirit that the devil has, is in YOU, and does not want to be crucified and die! YOU have already received more light than YOU want, YOU are refusing to accept that light, and YOU are headed straight for Hell!
Do YOU delight in YOUR wickedness? Are YOU comfortable in YOUR sin? No one can do anything for YOU. If YOU do not repent and stop sinning, YOU will deserve Hell.
Do YOU grieve over YOUR wickedness? Are YOU uncomfortable in YOUR sin? Are YOU tired of the worst enslavement of all, YOUR bondage to sin? Through faith in Jesus Christ, God can give YOU the freedom to live a Holy life. God offers YOU Holiness.
So if the Son sets YOU free, YOU will be free indeed. John 8:36 (NIV)
I will reiterate that God has given YOU a free-will to choose to worship God, or to choose to commit sin.
Deuteronomy 11:19 (NIV) "This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live"
If YOU choose to worship God, YOU will be lead by the Holy Spirit of God into Holiness, and YOU will spend eternity with God in Heaven. If YOU choose to commit sin, YOU will be lead by the devil into greater lawlessness, and YOU will spend eternity with the devil in Hell.
YOU will choose HOLINESS, or YOU will choose HELL!
YOUR CHOICE IS HOLINESS, OR IT IS HELL!
Hebrews 12:14 (NIV) Make every effort to live in peace with all men and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.
