Cynet v5.0 Brings Data Residency to Australia and New Zealand

A security platform has to fit the way an organisation protects its data, including where that data is stored. For MSPs and security teams in Australia and New Zealand, data location can affect whether a platform makes it through legal & procurement reviews.

Security tools may handle sensitive information about users, devices and incidents. Data location can therefore be an important consideration when organisations assess privacy obligations, contracts and internal policies.

With Cynet v5.0, we’re introducing dedicated regional infrastructure in Australia and New Zealand, giving customers with local data residency requirements a regional option while using Cynet’s unified protection, detection and response platform.

That option can be especially useful for MSPs serving government and public sector organisations, healthcare providers and financial institutions. Requirements vary by customer and by the information involved, but regional infrastructure helps partners address the data location question early.

Data residency is only part of the challenge. MSPs across Australia and New Zealand are also helping clients strengthen security with limited in-house capacity. In Australia, the Australian Signals Directorate reported an 11% rise in the cyber security incidents it responded to in 2024–25, while the Australian Computer Society estimates the country will need 54,000 additional cyber professionals by 2030. Those figures are specific to Australia, but they illustrate why coverage that lean teams can manage matters.

Built to help lean teams do more

The new regional infrastructure arrives alongside other improvements in Cynet v5.0. The Cross-Site Dashboard is now generally available, giving teams a central view of operational and configuration issues across the sites they manage. AI Insights highlights what needs attention and links directly to the relevant investigation workflow.

The SIEM Module is also generally available, with expanded telemetry and self-service cold data export. For MSPs, Copy Site Settings reduces repetitive setup across clients, while Executive Report white labelling helps partners present reports under their own brand.

Together, these updates help partners and security teams in Australia and New Zealand manage growing environments and deliver unified protection, detection and response backed by 24×7 CyOps MDR, with a regional infrastructure option for customers who need one.
